Publisher's Summary
Katie Brenner has the perfect life: a flat in London, a glamorous job, and a supercool Instagram feed.
Okay, so the truth is that she rents a tiny room with no space for a wardrobe, she has a hideous commute to a lowly admin job, and the life she shares on Instagram isn't really hers. But one day her dreams are bound to come true, aren't they?
Until her not-so-perfect life comes crashing down when her megasuccessful boss, Demeter, gives her the sack. All Katie's hopes are shattered. She has to move home to Somerset, where she helps her dad with his new glamping business. Then Demeter and her family book in for a holiday, and Katie sees her chance. But should she get revenge on the woman who ruined her dreams - or try to get her job back? Does Demeter - the woman who has everything - actually have such an idyllic life herself? Maybe they have more in common than it seems. And what's wrong with not so perfect, anyway?

Super lovely!
Exactly what I hoped for: exciting emotional rollercoaster.
The story might not be realistic, but characters felt relatable enough to make the story enticing. I loved it through until the last moment.

It’s an okay read but not her best
Light hearted enough story but it’s not the best I’ve read from KA. It’s amusing in parts and the story is a little different, in fact I can’t quite say why the book didn’t grab me. Maybe I’ve come to expect something special from KA every time and perhaps that’s not realistic of me. I actually feel I’m being a little unfair to an author I like.
The narration was good and Fiona brought the characters to life.
So don’t let my wishy washy review put you off if you are a dedicated KA fan.

funny, page turner, but predictable in the end
this was a great book, I laughed the entire time I read it. I love the story arc, but I feel in the end it was a bit predictable, and maybe not brave enough while being too brave at the same time. Would definitely pick up another book by Sophie Kinsella though, I'd read them just for the humorous.

Lovely light listen
Sophie Kinsella has a way with chick lit that carries over into this novel. it's a sweet story that nonetheless seems to borrow a little from her previous works-- I found myself strongly reminded of Can You Keep a Secret and The Undomestic Goddess. This is a light, easy listen which is very enjoyable and will not disappoint Kinsella's fans. The narration is excellent.

Long but lovely
I thought the first 4.5 hours were a long time to pass before losing her job (per the blurb), but in the end it sets the rest of the story up really well.

Entertaining but a bit slow paced
Overall an enjoyable read however I wish the story was paced a bit faster. I also found the love interest quite unlikeable and disingenuous.

Light Hearted and Fun
I loved all of the Shopoholic series back in the 2000’s and this story was just as enjoyable.
If you’re looking for a happy feel good story narrated by a talented reader then this audible will be very appealing.
I very much enjoyed it 😊

Utterly inane story. Do not waste your time
Oh my god!
What an absolutely painful story about a twit of a woman. Utter nonsense. The tedious prose tends to waffle on and on and on, with the author throwing random flashbacks or unnecessary babble mid-action, before finishing a sentence. ie "the phone rang **insert 10 minutes of irrelevant prattle** and then she answered it".
I can't bear it any longer and I'm quitting the book at chapter 17... I really don't care how it ends.
