Publisher's Summary

A prince is in River Heights. A prince! Granted, he's from a relatively minor royal family, but still. This is big news.

The headlines get even bigger once the prince is found toting a painting for his family's good friend, Mrs. Mahoney - because within hours of his arrival, the federal authorities arrest him. They suspect he stole the painting from his family.

Nancy and her dad aren't buying it. They have a hunch there's more to this, ahem, picture. But can they save the prince before he's wrongfully crowned a "criminal"?

Critic Reviews

"One thing is most certainly true, the country changed and Nancy Drew did too, with the exception that she is and was America's most loved teenage female gumshoe." (Cheryl and Joseph Homme, The Art of Popular Children's Books)

Narration

The narrator was distracting with her announcing “ she said “ or “he said “ for every utterance out of every character s mouth . I couldn’t even stand to listen to it and it was free !

These newer Nancy Drew stories are not at all bad

Where does Nancy Drew Girl Detective rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Makes it just fine!

Nancy Drew was NEVER about literary or artistic perfection - numerous changes, and a succession of authors would certainly make a literary patchwork quilt of it all.

But we love a patchwork quilt and it is still an enrichment and delight to love Nancy Drew Mysteries.

Nancy Drew stories, books, movies, games and merchandise sell significantly worldwide, and this one continues the triumph and as one who ran to the library to get the next in the series, more than 50 years ago, I have, from time to time, picked up the followups to be sure Nancy is still the winning light she is meant to be. She is still "good to go".

What was one of the most memorable moments of Nancy Drew Girl Detective?

I liked the scenes in Italy - they inspire a desire to visit.

Which scene was your favorite?

The discovery of the data that solved the crime.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Happy ending

Any additional comments?

Nancy Drew stories remain triumphant, and since "The Secret of the Old Clock" in 1930 Nancy Drew has been about a lot of things we need to preserve in America - and in the world.

I was Devastated to learn Carolyn Keene is only a pseudonym!

I loved the original Nancy Drew Mysteries but the latter ones are tripe. I was going to give my granddaughters the gifts audiobooks and decided to review a few first. Very disappointing

good story but a tad predictable with the fireplace and ending. Would enjoy more conflict.

Thin on plot. No real subplot.

Boring, predictable and sophomoric. Even a seven year old would find this too immature. Don’t bother.

So fun to return to Nancy Drew as an adult

The narrator was great. The voice for Mr. Drew didn’t sound right but he has very few lines. She did a good job with all the others.

I love mysteries but it’s nearly impossible to find them without murder or big romantic scenes. So although the writing is not great literature, the book is a fun, clean, well spun mystery. No murder or romance suits me fine.

Nancy Drew - Framed

I really enjoyed this audible. The story was wonderful and I narrator really did a great job getting the details in her voice and the shocking points. My favorite part was the happy ending.
