Publisher's Summary

Life is a miracle, and each day is a blessing. Go forth and live fully....

Do you want to learn how to get out from toxic relationships and heal from emotional abuse using a guide to understand and disarm the narcissist and stop being a victim? Then pay attention....

Abusive, narcissistic relationships forever affect the way a survivor views the world and what they’ll bring to future relationships. They’ll inevitably be left with an entirely new perspective and appreciation for life. They’ll learn to truly self-love, perhaps for the first time ever, after the relationship has ended. They’ll be more cautious when entering into new relationships and be more apt to identify red flags sooner. These are blessings in disguise that need to be embraced. Often, victims are left with the lingering effects of PTSD, and it’s essential that therapeutic help is sought and the advice embraced to heal. Following the steps of an established recovery system, such as a 12-step program, provides the best prospect in finding peace by rediscovering oneself and practicing internal healing. Modifications can be made to best serve the individual’s unique situation and aid in recovery from narcissistic abuse. It’s absolutely necessary to make amends with the past to effectively move forward.

This audiobook gives a comprehensive guide on the following:

  • Types of narcissistic abuse
  • Psychological violence on victims of narcissistic abuse
  • Narcissist’s mental patterns
  • Narcissist and codependent commonalities
  • Narcissism in families
  • Abusive behaviors
  • How the narcissist drains you
  • The breaking of no contact
  • Emotional freedom technique (EFT)
  • How to survive a relationship with a narcissist
  • Tips to help you get your life back

Having questions without answers, regrets, and feelings of guilt are all very common. Each step in the grieving process should be fully embraced and completely felt by the victim, with the aid of a supportive network so they can ultimately move into acceptance. Only when they’ve accepted the past and present for exactly what they are will they be able to create an effective future. Once they’ve developed self-love and those aspects of self they lost amid the abuse, they’ll be able to enter a solid, meaningful relationship with a new partner. Rushing through the healing process does no good and can skew the survivor’s perspective. They may not see things for what they truly are. Codependency often prevails, and victims reenter abusive situations out of habit, continuing the cycle.

Knowledge is power, and it’s the belief of this author that those who have had the debilitating experience of living with a narcissist and have successfully circumvented the situation have an obligation to share their stories. Firsthand knowledge is especially powerful, and through the advice of survivors, others can be saved. Therefore, it’s my hope that survivors can band together to promote awareness and provide support to those who need it most.

Great book about being with a narcissist.

Great book about being with a narcissist and how to escape them. The author really goes into detail and breaks down everything that is happening and why the victim becomes so confused. Although it is heartbreaking about the truth, once you have clarity you can start to begin your recovery process.

Helps you take a good look at yourself.

I’m been out of an abusive relationship for about a year and a half and didn’t realize that all of my relationships have been that way. Helps you take a good look at yourself and your boundaries.

Got a lot from this book

I am glad this book focused more on healing rather than learning about what a narcissist is! Pleased with the progress I am making. This book has helped me, the writing exercises are particularly helpful

Lots of crucial information!

I have read and listened to a few other books, this one focused mainly on the "victim" This book is not a guide telling you what a narc is! I enjoyed this book and will be recommending to others.

I strongly recommend this book

I'm 3/4 way through and I must say this book is life-giving!!! For years I have been struggling with why my relationship imploded the way it did and why did it not see the signs and to know all along I was the prey in his web!!! Thank you for giving me back life to the years of negative self talk and self shame. Let the healing begin...And to think it was my family court lawyer who referred your work to me...lol
