Publisher's Summary

Talk is cheap, and so is a profession of faith apart from repentance. But we live in a day when people put more stock in a once-said prayer than a life reflective of a renewed heart. Taking Matthew 7:13-27 as his text, Paul Washer reminds us of Jesus' insistence that his way is narrow and that its travelers will bear good fruit and rest on the solid foundation of God's word. Neglecting these warnings from Christ has left many on the broad road to destruction. Don't think you are heading to heaven if you are not following the way of the Master.

Wake up call for mainstream cultural Christianity

Paul Washer tackles the issue of false assurance endemic to the West with solid Scriptural backing and exhortation. This is a great resource intended to challenge false notions about saving faith among teenagers and young adults - yet is still broadly applicable to any age. As he makes clear, we will be known by our fruit.

Strong conviction for American evangelical youth

Paul washer tells it how it is when it comes to living for Christ according to the Word of God and not according to the modern culture, even the culture of the church community. He makes a stark distinction between comparing yourself to God’s standards and not comparing yourself to the people around you. This is great short read for teens and youth to set themselves up for living according to biblical truth and godly standards. The Word of God is the ultimate and only source of truth and authority, helping to save and to sanctify. It should and must be used to always test the spirits 1 John 4:1-6, even what pastors or church laypeople say, so children and young adults can learn to become like a Berean in Acts 17:10-11.. by “examining the Scriptures daily to see if [the] things [Paul and Silas preached] were so.”

One of the most important messages I've heard !

It would be a terrible mistake not to humble ourselves, listen and take heed to every word in this book and make the necessary changes to your life immediately !

Everyone who professes Christ should read this!

This book was very well put together and clearly explains what it means to be a true Christian today and what the Bible says, without adding anything extra or trying to appease to everyone's emotions. Just truth from a man who is in need of a Savior just like me. Thank you Paul Washer for continued persistence in pointing to Christ always. God bless you brother and may the Lord be with you always.

Wow...!

An excellent audiobook from Mr Washer. As expected, its hard hitting...true...and demands the attention of the listener. If this book doesnt either change your idea of Christianity or re-inforce it, then you're probably NOT a Christian...if you thought you were at the beginning of the audiobook.

How can I say that? Listen to the book...and that will be the proof.

Essential reading

Too often God’s truth is watered down to make it easy and appealing to the masses. God definitely loves us, in fact so much so that it cost the life of His only son, but because God is holy and righteous, He hates sin. If you want to want to be sure of your salvation, truely love and serve Him, then read/ listen to this book. The author doesn’t sugar coat his words. He speaks straight from Scripture, the truth as Jesus did, because he wants people really saved and not deceived then lost.
