Publisher's Summary

So I may be in the Last Single Man Standing competition with my cousins, but five minutes around Kinsey was all it took to take myself out. Who cares about bragging rights when you’ve just found the woman you’re going to marry? Sure, she may work for my biggest competitor. Sure, she’s not dating right now. Sure, she’s my sister’s best friend and I’ve been sworn off her. But somehow she agrees to go on six fake dates to help me save face in this competition.

What does the guy who never uses his words have to say to convince the girl of his dreams that they’re perfect for each other?

Can’t finish.

I always finish my books, but I just can’t with this one. It’s just so…contrived.

Love this series!

Great series & reading! Steamy but realistic. Only negative is the photo of Grif. That’s not how’s he’s described in the book - needed more muscular model- no offense intended.

Disappointing

This one is a dud. Flynn’s books are usually at least entertaining. This one I kept thinking about not finishing. Not sure why I didn’t cut my losses, I guess I kept hoping it would redeem itself (it didn’t).

The narration is pretty bad when the female narrator does the male character’s voice and vice versa.

just. ok

I read this because it is the second in the series. Just ok, the southern accent was grating on the nerves. As mentioned in other reviews, the excessive similes was exhausting,. I am not sure if I will bother with the third book.

Southern accent?

I’m as southern as southern can be. We don’t speak like that at all. If you want to have a southern character get a actual southern person narrate.

slightly better than the first one, overall

so the first book started well but went steadily downhill. so I hadn't planned listening to this one but settled for it for lack of good options.
as I say, not as bad. Read a negative review complaining about it being too contrived, I didn't think it was that bad (have read a lot worse in that regard eg the first one), merely stupid and frustrating

Wtf Avery????

I’ve purchased a few books, and thank Batman this did not cost me a dime… just my time.
This was bad. Story bad. Performance bad. I don’t know if I’d pick up another Avery Flynn. I couldn’t even get through the whole book.

Really?

I love Flynn’s humorous stories but REALLY, three chapters dedicated to one sex scene? (Which I skipped btw). Flynn doesn’t need need this reducing the enjoyment of her stories.

4.5 ⭐️

Ooooo that was better that expected. I really enjoyed this audible book. It was light-hearted and easy enough to listen to in the infrequent way that I do.
Kinsey was a sweetheart and Griff has just been waiting for someone with logical sense. These two were perfect for each other.
