We were fighting on the wrong side of a war we couldn't win. And that was the good news. The Ruhar hit us on Columbus Day. There we were, innocently drifting along the cosmos on our little blue marble, like the native Americans in 1492. Over the horizon come ships of a technologically advanced, aggressive culture, and BAM! There go the good old days, when humans only got killed by each other. So, Columbus Day. It fits. When the morning sky twinkled again, this time with Kristang starships jumping in to hammer the Ruhar, we thought we were saved.

Publisher's Summary
Life is beyond dangerous when you are caught up in the ongoing war between Bethany Anne's group and the Forsaken.
Both Vampires and Humans have been targeted, but if there is one thing that those who work with Bethany Anne learn, it is you are Never Forsaken.
Never Forsaken, book five in the Kurtherian Gambit, follows the story after Bite This. If you haven't read or listened to the preceding books, you pretty much have to. These are a series and many of the characters have been introduced in preceding volumes.
Please note, as mentioned in another review, there is flagrantly foul language in this novel. The main character does not have a problem with cussing, just uninspired cussing.

Torn
listening to these books is really wonderful and horrible at the same time. I really do enjoy the story. It's not the best story ever by any means but I really enjoy it it's fast-paced I love the characters I just really do enjoy it. However I don't enjoy how short the books are in the fact that it's priced out sort of if I want to listen to the book it's 350 Pages for 7:50 and I just don't really feel that it's a good narrative in and of itself. However I do love the story. It does come out fast. But I think the pricing structure is such that I would rather wait for a compendium! puns intended! And please excuse any inappropriate punctuation or stops of narrative. As I dictated this straight through my voice diction on my phone and I'm going with it!

A really Awesome book!
Where does Never Forsaken rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Well it's in my to 20 and if you could see how many I own that is really high praise. I owe a whole lot of audiobooks. Like maybe over 300, I don't I have counted but there are a whole lot of them. Anyway, I do re-listen to many, and Never Forsaken just went on the list to re-listen to often when you can find the time. (I have a lot still need to be listened too) No Honest I rank him up their in my stack of Laurel K Hamilton's, Gerri Hill, Radclyffe, Patricia Briggs, Carrie Vaughn, Faith Hunter and Erik Schubach books I re-listen to often.
What other book might you compare Never Forsaken to and why?
Laurel K. Hamilton if you minus the cursing and added sex, Carrie Vaughn, Faith Hunter and Patrica Briggs if you added the cursing, Erik Schubach again only in some of his books and only if you added cussing, And these people only because they also write Urban Fantasy that I like. But honest Anderle is in box all to himself for what I read, he is the only military urban fantasy I read.
What about Emily Beresford’s performance did you like?
She is just awesome, her voice smooth were it needs to be smooth, Loud or soft were it needs to be, I don't know, I would just love to meet her alone in a restaurant or bar, and sit and talk with her and pick her brain about things she knows about this series and hear her just talk. (Yes and the author too) Nothing kinky. Just talk. I guess that is one of the things I like about her, her voice makes you fell at home even though the character is swearing a way. You sit there and smile as she does this. Because she has made you at home with Bethy Ann. Peter, John and the rest of the boys. I can't explain it right or better.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
YES! It made me smile and laugh in place, were she was kicking ass and swearing, it made feel tender when she was trying to be nice to the guys, in her way, And the one on one talks with the other Lady Vampire on her team Gabrielle that also kicks butts, I like the way she is always trying to find out Gabrielle's age.
Any additional comments?
Record faster, I just have Under my Heals to listen too, and I am done Mr. Anderle. If you really do read these reviews, I can no longer read a book due to MS, I depend on auidobooks to do my reading for me. It is so very hard for me to do things like fill out this form to tell you how awesome your books are to me. Please, faster, Please.

Excellent..
Good grief, this was so exciting. No matter where they were: Miami, Costa Rica, Argentina, Germany, Las Vegas, wherever, there was never a dull moment. Something fascinating was always going on.
And the fight for who was going to lead the wolves? That was great, too. Pete and Tim nearly beat each other to death.
And getting Michael away from David? David his son who had kept him captive for centuries. Wow. Bethany Anne and Stephen made short work out of that once they found out where Michael was being kept.
And then the battle with Anton’s men who tried to take Bethany Anne’s ships, what happened to Pete was awesome, having gone into the pod-doc for a few hours.
And then Anton’s party! Just let me say Bethany Anne was a party crasher and it’s did turn bloody. It was excellent.
And NOW Adam is awake. That is really going to be brilliant.
I love this series!!
There’s no sex but lots of crazy swearing, the longest mouthful of swearwords I’ve ever heard. And the F-bomb was used 94 times.
As to the narrator: Absolutely fabulous. The whispering, yelling, mumbling, muttering, laughing, you name it and Emily Beresford does it, along with giving the players their own special voices.

Love these books!
Kicking butt and taking names is the game. Operations move to Europe & South America while trying to align a forceful front. Artificial Intelligence is also discussed and its role will be interesting to see in future editions. The Patriarch was recovered and his future role and alignment with Bethany Anne is promising. Pete gets an upgrade! Highly recommend this series! Ms. Beresford does an awesome job narrating!
