From best-selling author Lisa Wingate comes Never Say Never, an enthralling blend of small-town charm and wholesome romance. Kai Miller has never put down roots and doesn’t intend to change. Yet when a hurricane evacuation brings her to Daily, Texas, she begins to reexamine her tumbleweed ways. After meeting Kemp Eldridge, she can almost see herself settling down—until her dreams are dashed when she hears he’s promised to another. But locals have learned to never say never—especially when Aunt Donnetta is cooking up a scheme.

Slow start, but worth finishing.

There was so much "southern"dialect listening to this book I just about quit in the first 15 minutes. The first half of the book is SLOW, but by the second half (if you can tolerate the narrators depiction of a southern hair dresser) you come to like the characters. The authors tell a story about sourthern life and the people living there. It is full of "southern" sayings and cliches' but if you can overlook them you'll like the characters and will probably feel like you have known someone like them.

i enjoy small town stories

I like the way Lisa Wingate tells a story. The accent really wasn't a Central Texas accent, so that was a little disturbing. Overall, I enjoyed the story.

Great book

I can across Lisa's books by accident and quickly became hooked. Her use of words and ability to create a story that wraps you up with the characters is amazing. At times I wonder how she can create such a word picture. I've read and listened to a lot of books and hers are some of if not the best.

Fun, inspiring Read

What made the experience of listening to Never Say Never the most enjoyable?

Lisa Wingate is a master wordsmith. Her writting puts the reader in the center of the story, inspires and entertains the reader.

What other book might you compare Never Say Never to and why?

Any of Lisa's other novels. Each is unique, yet continually excellent.

Which character – as performed by Peggity Price – was your favorite?

Cyi Miller is a real person in an event that has struck many of us latey...the storm. Wingate shows the inspirational as it often truly is, whispers of God 's love and grace.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. Although one of the characters became irretating at times. I felt like rushing past them.

Any additional comments?

If you want Romance and good values, Lisa Wingate is excellent!

I love this author

I love this author and her books!! I’ve listened to all but 10 of them. She has a way of making you feel you’re watching a movie Instead of listening to a book!!

The end?

I liked the story but who doesn’t love Imogene and Danetta? The love story started late in the book 😞 and it ended suddenly and felt incomplete seeing there isn’t another sequel. It was uplifting for sure.

Great

This book was great, good story line, humor and the narration made it even more enjoyable. My only complaint was the ending, I felt like it was incomplete

Never read this book

I have read 2 of Lisa Wigates' books that were outstanding. I chose this book quickly before beginning a 5 hour road trip. I had to pull over and stop the audio because it so annoying. The reader has the worse fake southern accent. The story lacks a plot and I'm doubtful if the author has ever experienced a hurricane. I can't read another page. Trying to figure out if I can return this book.
