Publisher's Summary

New York Times best-selling author Mary Monroe takes you on the ultimate twist-filled ride with her Lonely Heart, Deadly Heart series.

For two restless women looking for satisfaction, too much of a good thing is never enough - even as a lethal passion closes in.

Best friends Lola Poole and Joan Proctor-Riley have finally found the love and excitement they've always longed for. Online-dating an endless line of wealthy, no-strings-attached lovers is the perfect escape from their unfulfilling lives. And between Joan's selfish husband and Lola's hateful, demanding relatives, the hotter these ladies' secret activities get, the more they crave - and the more reckless they become. Soon, they're taking ever greater risks to pursue their desires.

When rugged trucker Calvin Ramsey comes into Lola's sights, he's a surprising answer to all her prayers. He's kind and responsible in his everyday life - and delivers sexual healing like she's never known. What Lola doesn't know is that Calvin loves women to death - literally. And every caring moment and seductive promise this killer gives her draws both Lola and Joan deeper into his inescapable, fatal fantasy.

two of the stupidest women I've ever read about

I'm not a real fan of this book. those 2 women Lola a and her friend J can't be based on any real women.

Very Dissapointed

Would you ever listen to anything by Mary Monroe again?

Not sure after this.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

Yes

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Dissapointment

Any additional comments?

I love this author but I really think she missed the mark with this follow up. The first book was great and left me wanting more and dying to know how the story would play out. This book did not provide any of that satisfaction. It was full of fillers and meaningless dialogue...I found myself fast forwarding through a lot of it just to see if anything was ever going to actually happen and it never did. Maybe this one will just be a trilogy and not a 12 book long saga. I won't be buying the next installment. At this point I really don't care what happens to Lola, Joan or Calvin anymore.

Great Story. but it just stops

The is the 2nd in a 3 part series. I wish I had known that in the beginning because part 1 Just ended in thr middle of the story which made me upset till I found out it was 3 parts. This 2nd story just stopped as well. Overall it's a good book. though.

Ok

I really liked this book and would recommend it . I wish the author hadn't used God's name in vain. You don't have to use "GD" to have a great book. It had a great storyline and sexual storylines.

Some of the conversations contradict other conversations. Lola is clueless and need Elbert. I bet he saves her and rock her world sexually. Lola was stupid to stay at Bertha's house when she got smart and told her she was only a step daughter. Lola should have left and let her bio children take care of her. They wouldn't of course! I can't wait for the next book in this series.

Dragging on

I like Joan and Lola but I feel like the story is dragging out. It is only so much we want to read about Joan being unhappy with Reed while she cheats and the story with Calvin and Lola is taking a while to reach its peak. I expected to read about him killing Lola or being discovered as a murderer already. Let’s hope the next book gets right to it, the narrators are great!

I felt cheated

I don't like the ending! I felt cheated! It's like she got tired of writing and just decided to end the book!
