Publisher's Summary

Simple. Neat. Orderly. A place for everything, and everything in its place.

Karmen Handel's life growing up had been anything but quiet and simple. A deadbeat father, a mother who never wanted her, and a grandmother who could care less created the perfect recipe to ensure Karmen built a wall around herself and never let anyone in.

When her past comes back to haunt her, Karmen has no one to help her. Until Nickel.

Complicated. Dirty. Restless. Live to ride. Ride to live.

Nickel Cunningham lives free with the brothers he calls family and has never craved anything more until he met Karmen. The shy, quiet nurse who cares for his grandma caught his eye months ago, and he hasn't been able to get her off his mind since. Nickel knows what he wants, but he's never had to fight for it before. Until Karmen. Contains mature themes.

Great series

Fantastic book I now have a new author to binge on I love it when there is not only a male and female narrator but when they can also do a decent other gender voice it just makes the book even better

Fallen Lords

I love Nickel. I loved this book and the alpha man had a big soft spot for Captain. Can’t wait to read the next in series.

Sex on page 60 not real!

Yeah, just not enough build up before the sex scenes. From too shy to say a word to ripping off the clothes in three sentences. No attraction build.
And the guy, yeah, not.

Two dimensional characters just didn’t cut it. Returned before finishing.

🌻Kind of a disappointment, actually!🌻

🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻V from Kansas🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

I guess I must have gotten caught up, in the hype. The cover indicated that Winter Travers was a best selling author so I expected so much more. First, I wholeheartedly agree with the other reviewers who wrote about their irritation, with the Heroine. Her insecurities were way over the top. In addition, the Hero characteristics did not seem to be those of a hard core 1% biker; he was way too sappy. However, the worst element was the plot. It was all over the place. For example, the Hero started out with very specific feelings, about his club, and had a clear goal to start a new chapter in a different town. Sometime during the story( the reader/listener is not told when or why) that goal just disappears. The Hero and many other members of the club also have issues with the work they have been doing. Sometime during the book for which there is no explanation, the jobs disappear and so does the issue? I can’t be the only listener that was bothered by this. I could go on, but what’s the point.

This book was included in the Escape package, which is the only reason I gave it a shot. I would have never spent a credit on this, due to its short length, alone. In addition, had I bought it on sale, I would have returned it, the writing was juvenile, at best.

Slow, poor dialogue

I couldn't find myself interested in the characters, story or narration. I certainly don't want to continue with the series.

Nicel

I absolutely love the Fallen Lords MC. I have read these books several times and enjoyed them every time. Listening to this story is another experience of its own; its so much better. Winter Travers certainly knows how to write an entertaining, and enjoyable story.
The narrators were great. I enjoyed every single moment.

What a snooze-fest..

Agree with another reviewer "Slow, poor dialogue". I too found myself uninterested in the characters, (shallow) story or uninspired narration. I think I fell asleep thru half the book & didn't really miss anything. Will not be listening to the rest of the series or any other books by this author.

Just OK

It wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t good. Not an MC book and super cheesy. I only finished it because I paid for it. I wouldn’t waste a credit in this one.

It was different

I was actually recommended book 4 but I like to start at the beginning
This is well written and very good
The ending seemed very rushed though, I think it could have had more to it or an epilogue. Hopefully book two makes up for the sudden drop off ending.
