The most useful book on the subject I have ever read

I am so glad I found this book and Alcohol Explained, his other one. I love the factual approach. A great alternative for those not attracted to 12 step programs.

This book explains why we are stuck and addicted to nicotine in great detail. It does not play on emotions, just provides the facts. Well worth it.

Interesting and insightful

I’m starting to see William Porter as something akin to a saviour. Not only did his alcohol book enable me to quit and long standing drink problem through research, experience and insight, he’s now helped to end the accompanying smoking issue. Well written, really interesting, thought provoking, well read and it worked!

Fantastic

I can't imagine and other book being as informative as this one. Having read it, feel like I have the tools to stop smoking. I know what thought processes I am to expect and why I will have them. Because I know why I will know how to deal with them.
It also explains why we go back to smoking after giving up for a while. It future proofs you as well.

Most excellent book.

I also recommend from the same Author: Alcohol explained

Thanks Mr Porter

Amazing once again

After listening to the audio of Alcohol Explained I decided to purchase this audiobook to help with my nicotine habit.
This is a must listen for those wanting to step away from nicotine, in a similar vein to those who've read Allen Carr.
Once again, William knocked it out the park with his points and explanations- truly eye opening and easy to digest. Thanks William.
And thanks Nick for the narration.

so obvious now

this book is just pure and simple logic, you really and if you are truly honest with yourself cannot disagree and so the only logical and sensible thing you can do is just stop, it just doesn't make any sense now to continue doing this to yourself.
