Publisher's Summary

Tides change, but some feelings can’t be washed away. Lillian Lee doesn’t believe in love at first sight. Hate is a different story - and one she is intimately familiar with. Luckily, she hasn’t seen her archnemesis, Ivy Holden, since graduating from veterinary school five years ago.

Since then, while her life isn’t going exactly according to plan, she’s happy. She has great friends, a job she loves, and the best pets in the world. Most importantly, her life is stable.

Seal Cove, Maine, is the last place Ivy Holden anticipated ending up. But when an unexpected medical condition forces her to relocate to be closer to family, she can’t turn down the opportunity. Her new job at Seal Cove Veterinary Clinic has everything she needs: flexibility, proximity to her family’s summer home, and the chance to do the work she loves.

Unfortunately, it also has Lillian Lee. Thrown back into each other’s orbits, Lillian and Ivy must find a way to work together, despite the treacherous emotions threatening to drown them both. Night Tide is book two of the Burke’s Seal Cove Romance series - it follows Spindrift.

Anna Burke Does it Again!!!

What a great story! Funny and touching. I love Lillian and Ivy, and being back with the whole Seal Cove gang. And I have to hand it to Annette Romano, who does a beautiful job voicing this diverse group of characters. Can’t wait for the next installment!!

Vivid, Expressive and Compelling

Annette Romano did an outstanding job of conveying the emotions and plot reading Night Tide. I love the different voices she used which conveyed the characters completely. Her audible interpretation was vivid and compelling enough that I imagined the character's different backgrounds and their intent. I especially loved the respect she gave to the animals. She obviously loves animals. I would definitely listen to more audible books she has narrated!

Wonderful Story/ Well Narrated

I felt completely drawn in by the performance of this book. The narrator really brought it to life in a way I didn't expect. I haven't listened to many fiction books before but will seek out this narrator for sure.

Extraordinary Book and Narrator!

I absolutely love this book! I highly recommend it and the narration is amazing! A good narrator is key to any audio book and Annette Romano is absolutely amazing!!

The narration ruined it for me

In hindsight, I had the same experience with the first book. I planned on reading the rest of the series instead of going with audio, but I wasn’t paying attention. That will not happen again!
I liked the story well enough, and probably had the narration been different I would rate the story higher. Who knows??
I felt like I was listening to petulant teenagers as opposed to 30 y/o women. And the narrator sounded like an exuberant child on Christmas
Morning. Awful, considering the content.
I would encourage anyone to listen to the sample before you buy the audio.

All in the good!

Ok. So, I did not read the previous book in this series but it was absolutely no detriment to my enjoyment of this compelling story and my appreciation of the wonderful voice of the narrator. It’s not even my typical genre.
Listening to this was a real treat on all levels. I will definitely be looking for this author and this narrator, especially in combination, and I will be backtracking to catch the first title in this Seal Cove series!

Beautiful story

Really enjoyed the pace and excellent storytelling skills of Anna Burke. I wish the story was much longer though, can’t get enough of Lillian and Ivy 😊

Masterful Narration!

Most Romance novels are fraught with smoke and saccharin voices that practically yell out, "Here comes the steamy part!!" That's why I always listen to the samples first.
This amazing story and narrator (Ms Romano) merged so completely I felt like it was all happening in my head! Brilliant.

Best story ever!!! Annoying narrator though…

Wow! I loved this book so much. I read the physical book three times and have been waiting for the audiobook.
However, I was not too fond of this narrative. It was really hard for me to finish the audiobook. I wish it was Amy putt or someone else. I couldn’t even apart the voices of the characters as The narrator just read it plainly. Annoying experience and try try to avoid this narrator in the future.
