Obsessed! But I don’t see a release date for book 4 😱

After a slow start with the 1st book, “Winter’s Fury” I decided to bite the bullet and purchase the the 2nd audiobook “The burning Sea” which really picked up in pace, ending in a nail biting story line. Before I even finished book 2, I went ahead purchased this book, book 3, “Night of the Shadow Moon”. It was so intense at times, that at one point, I snapped at my spouse for asking me if I was ok after slamming my phone on the mattress and yelling “damn it!!! I felt bad later, but in the moment I was really frustrated after Jael had gotten herself into a particularly crappy situation.
Finty Williams absolutely knocked it out of the park! She brings the characters to life, which literally transported me into battle next to Jael Furyck and her eclectic band of loyal followers.
So 3 hours before the conclusion of this book, I raced to buy the next audiobook version of book 4 “Hallow Wood”, but to my horror (lol), there wasn’t one. Really though, it’s quite upsetting because I’m way too emotionally invested in this series to be left hanging. I almost didn’t listen to the rest of the book because I felt like there was no point. I love books, and I truly wish that I was a reader, but I’m too ADHD and no amount of medication can keep me focused.
I did however go through the release dates of each audiobook, and Books 1-3 were consecutively released 1 month apart starting in May of 2021. So all you fellow Audiobook listeners, there is still hope!

Really Enjoy!

I will happily listen to this entire series of books and enjoy the characters, story line & narrator of these books. I do have 2 things that I would prefer slightly different in my experience. One, the story jumps too much/high frequency between the various characters and story lines within each chapter for my taste. In fact, sometimes you literally get a couple of sentences and off to another situation. This makes it both harder to follow and engaged in as your waiting for the next flip of topic. And second, that the story its self seems to take its time with lots of detail and events (which I enjoy) up until the big/main event of the book which then seems rushed all into the last couple of chapters.

It keeps getting better!

Just when I was drawn in by the first two books, I'm not addicted. I can't even take a shower without wanting to see what happens next.

Agonizingly long, historically inaccurate, FRUSTRATING book!

Honestly I don’t know how I’ve made it through 3 of these. The narration is great. The first one was agonizingly slow and the historical inaccuracies are super annoying but I tried he second one out of curiosity and a lack of anything else to listen to. The second one moved at a better pace so I did the third. This one was slower than the first one and if they had another cup of tea I was going to scream! To make it all worse…. THIS BOOK IS NOT THE END! 14 hours of audio to end right as they start to get going. I can’t tell you how frustratingly annoying this book was. I kept pushing through to hear the end and then it doesn’t end. Slightly curious to hear everyone got their revenge on the evil ones but not that much to wait on the fourth installment. I’m done here!
