Publisher's Summary

The inspirational story of Compass CEO Robert Reffkin—who is both Black and Jewish—and the vital lessons he learned to help him overcome life's daunting obstacles.

No one expected a fifteen-year-old Black kid with dreadlocks who cared more about his DJ business than his homework to grow up to become one of the youngest White House fellows, run fifty marathons, and cofound a multibillion-dollar company. But Robert Reffkin, raised by an Israeli immigrant single mother after his father abandoned him and his maternal grandparents disowned them, has always defied the odds.

As CEO of Compass, America's largest independent real estate brokerage, Reffkin distills the wisdom he's gathered from his mother and his 100+ mentors throughout his journey. Each chapter offers a part of his life story and an actionable lesson, such as: "Love your customers more than your ideas." "Dream out your future on paper—then tear the paper up." And "Adapt like water and you'll be unstoppable."

The advice in No One Succeeds Alone will inspire listeners to dream bigger than they ever have before, to realize their full potential, and to give back by helping make someone else's dreams come true, too.

Opportunities are everywhere.

Some great advice and knowledge in this book that I’ve never had from anyone else. I was gifted the book but have a hard time reading books due to my dyslexia so purchased this and flew through the audiobook. Robert has some great advice and is great to hear his inspiring story. Needed to hear this book right now with the current state of things.
I can’t recommend it enough.
Thank you for sharing your story Robert!

Let’s Go!!

What I liked most about this book is the candor, intimacy, vulnerability and class in which the writer tells of his journey.
I feel inspired, motivated, empowered, and I feel like this boom gives me grace to navigate who I am while figuring out how to best use my gifts, talents, and interests.
I have already begun recommending this book to friends and colleagues.

So Inspiring!

I just loved this story. I think this should be required reading for kids starting Junior High. I recently started with Compass and wanted to know more about the Owner. I feel so connected to his vision. Great read.

Hey did you hear? He graduated Columbia in 2.5yrs

This is a guy I would enjoy meeting and probably enjoy working for. However the level of humble bragging detracts from what is an otherwise interesting, (and from an industry standpoint) discussion provoking book.

This story is endlessly relatable!

No One Succeeds Alone has many facets to it that I found relatable to my life, even as Rob and I have had very different paths to get to where we are today.
His advice and Compass Principles of Entrepreneurship are ones that many people can learn from and apply to their lives.

Obsessed over opportunity!

This has been an inspiring read for me, the ability to overcome obstacles and always striving to be the best are great advice to live by. I myself had been told about all my life that I would fail because I struggled with things that did not inspire me! All ever want was a chance to sit at the same table as my peers! Thanks for a great read. Keep on dreaming big!

Obama was a failure

Colin Powell and Barack Obama are not great people. Not all successful people are great just because they are black. Look at Syria!
