left wing political garbage

this book is an attack on true believers in the faith and claims people who don't think like him are nazis. incorrectly says there is a hell for "rapists and murderers" when the poetic edda literally has odin and thor offering to help the other with a rape. This book is a modern take on norse religion with a very cracked sjw lense.

We’ll written

Other than the occasional pronunciation mistake, this was a pretty decent book. The only other issue is the author. recommended a group of white supremacists.

Incorrect basic information.

Large amounts of blatantly incorrect information- EG: refers to Tyr as the one handed God but states Fenrir bit off his leg.

Narrator needs practice

Content is good especially for those who wish to have a better understanding of how their ancestors lived. But narrator needs practice with pronunciation and timing.

horrible pronunciations

the narrator is horrible and the words though easy are pronounced in such a way that it is a constant sense of cringe, the narrator needed to do alot of research and work on his words pronunciations ruined an otherwise good book on norse magick

Does not sound pleasant.

This book is a good book but the audio is not easy on the ears. The " narrator" does not sound human. It sounds like the book is being read to you by a computer.

Interesting and informative

I learned a few new things about Norse Mythology that I didn't before. It was a nice quick read. At times the author includes pronunciation help, which is very useful. My sister and I both wished there was more of it.

Magic

Most people associate mythology with the Greeks and Romans and know very little about Norse mythology. Learn about Norse Gods and goddesses and their religious beliefs and abstruse magic.

Very informative but …..

A lot of miss pronunciation. And some miss information. Like Fenrir biting off Tyr’s leg? Then referred to him as the one armed god. Little more proof checking maybe but not bad after all

Good book

The stories reinforce Norse- Viking beliefs in honor, heroism, hospitality, gift-giving, fate, wisdom, the spirit of adventure, and the importance of keeping your word, all of which were key social values and norms. These are the stories that encouraged and fostered the Vikings Age, age not only of raiding, but also trading, voyages of discovery, and settlement throughout the world.
