Story
Due to unusual circumstances, Randidly starts in an isolated dungeon far beyond his level, forced to rely on the mysterious Traveler Shal in order to learn and survive with the dangerous new status quo for his world. But survive he does, only to leave the dungeon and discover that while he experienced several hellish months in the dungeon, only half a day passed on Earth. Randidly's capabilities are now more than enough to help build a small enclave of survivors, but that doesn't mean balancing his sense of responsibility against the plots of an unfriendly town will be easy.

A man. His ex-girlfriend's cat. A sadistic game show unlike anything in the universe: a dungeon crawl where survival depends on killing your prey in the most entertaining way possible. In a flash, every human-erected construction on Earth - from Buckingham Palace to the tiniest of sheds - collapses in a heap, sinking into the ground. Will not be continuing
If you're going to make an overpowered character like the protagonist here, lean into it.
Instead we get a totally busted character who wildly fluctuates in perceived power to suit the plot. It's very frustrating.

1 huge problem in book 2 wont be continuing series
the narrater has 2 females voices and 2 1/2 male voice the drawf Horhay sounds like the whitest person in the book and its hard to tell who's speaking until the author says there name and this narrater here till the end. Also there is no leveling up.the big problem is he still wants to team up with and does the team that betrayed him, killed him, and permanently stole his D points its frustrating.then he pays them millions to be his friends its the stupidest stupidest things I've every read im struggling to finish the second book i have 9 hours remaining i dont think i can finish it. WHY WHY WHY!!!!!

What a fantastic book!!
If you like books with overpowered main characters who still struggle, then this book is for you! I seriously can’t stress how good this book was. Thorn was surprisingly wise considering his age and even though he was a little socially awkward due to his upbringing, that leaves room for him to grow as a character. I really love this series, and the narration was top notch. His incredible strength reminds me a little of Montana from the good guys series, but his use of his brain makes for a more enjoyable read if you’re less into gore. Really. Pick up this book!

An Overpowered Litrpg MC story.
It's a slow burn to true overpowered status for this MC. While disadvantaged in his real life his new reality changes it to an advantage and perfectly positions him to leverage old advantages. I was upset at what I see as a flaw at the very end of the second book overall I was happy while the books. I would happy to see more of this quality amongst OP MC, Litrpg, and Trapped in an game/other world books. Oh the voice acting was not jarring and the characters were distinguishable, well done. (bonus points for having some big prominent non standard fantasy races!!!)

Frustratedly Stupid MC
Oh gosh did I hate listening to this audiobook. The for the MC to be rich and have a lot of time on his hands (terms used in book) is an part-time idiot. Why part-time? Because on occasion our hapless idiot MC makes reason choices.
Make up your mind, is the MC a complete idiot or not. It’s frustrating to listen to the MC do something reason one moment and stupid the next. Finally, there’s no intelligent progression it’s just one frustrating step forward and back.
I’m glad this book was free otherwise I would have asked for a refund. I can say for sure, that I have 100%, have ZERO interest reading/ listening the next EIGHT BOOKs! That would be torture.

MC has no personality, powerscaling completely off
I've listened to many books and this is my first time writing a review but holy moly this needs to be said...
The initial concept is fairly cool with the medical conditon forcing an extended full dive and all that. I was initially really excited and REALLY tried to like this... BUT it was just way too bland.
The main character has absolutely NO personality whatsoever, literally feels like following a husk/robot that just does random things without reason. The powerscaling is also abysmally bad. One moment he is really strong and the other he is helpless or just stands still while not doing anything. I'm halfway through book 2 and will definetly NOT be continuing.
There is little to no worldbuilding, and the whole thing about his race is just completely overlooked. Other characters has no depth to them either except for poining out how tall the MC is.
Narrator was decent in my opinion but the way he read the undramatic parts with a very dramatic tone is my only down. Good tempo and all that.
Just feels like such a shame since the concepts introduced and the setting could've made for an amazing story :/

Needs a better Editor
An enjoyable audio book but on occasion it felt like it had been written with a word count in mind rather than the story. The amount of times the text said something along the lines of "The mighty blow knocked him to the ground. Straining he got up from the ground" the latest three words are superfluous
The narration was excellent and the gripes aren't enough to prevent me for purchasing the next book on the series

A very good start, I enjoyed every part of it, the only other Litrpg I liked was Emarilia by MC. This book grabbed my attention from start to finish, Main character is not your average 16 years old kid, his situation, and people around him are very endearing. I liked the characters from the start and I want more depth in the next book. Great pace, lots of action, and many plots, hope it continues in the next book. Loved it!

Cartoon or carnage? Not sure which.
This book confused me greatly. It is full of violence, pillage and betrayal, yet it feels like a cartoon. The flimsy plot, such as it was, seemed to be a series of setups for violence rather than a true journey of growth and achievement as would normally be expected of such a tale. For instance, martial arts learnt by a person with a body who could barely move independently and which were enhanced by a master practician in apparently a single day were used to inflict significant damage on a series of incredibly powerful creatures. Indeed, now that I have used the word, let's finish with it ... incredible. The tale did not work for me within the constraints of its own paradine and that, for me, is the test of how much I am prepared to dispence with reality and immerse myself in the world of the book. That said the production and quality of the reading are excellent.

Minor flaws but great
A solid LitRPG with a refreshing twist. OP MC. Writing could use some minor tweaks in places, but an overall solid story and I look forward to the next book.
