Publisher's Summary

Lost in space and rescued by an alien.

This journey is supposed to be my chance to prove myself. When my spaceship crash lands on an alien planet, survival is the only thing on my mind. Snake-like alien warriors initiate contact and agree to save us, but I’m worried they want to hurt me and my crew. I never imagined I’d be attracted to one of them. The warrior O’Rin is nothing like I’ve ever seen. I can’t stop imagining him. Or his long, thick body.

I can’t claim her. The risk is too great.

I’ve seen the pain a broken mate-bond can cause. I’m determined to never take a mate. But Hetta’s scent overwhelms me and sets my body on fire. I can’t control my instincts when I’m around her. How can I ignore fate’s push to claim her?

My planet is treacherous, and I must keep her safe on our journey. Every day spent together is a stronger temptation to make Hetta mine. But can I convince her to stay and be my mate, or will she reject me and return to her home? Could she learn to love one such as me?

O’Rrin the Protector is a steamy alien romance with warriors ready to explore your heart! Listen to this brand-new series where human women are claimed and loved in a world so far from home!

Alien romance (Great if you're into that)

This was a fun start to a new alien romance series, complete with language barriers and different customs, famales being rare and valued, and charming anatomical differences. I liked the world builidng and sense of adventure. I'll certainly explore more from this author and series.

Hidden gem

This was a really good starter to a series in which the women come from a more advanced civilization and must use their skills and knowledge to help their respective alien. I can’t wait for more in the series!

Great Start to a New Series

Title: O'Rrin The Protector
Author: Roxie Ray
Format: Audio
Narrator: Katie McAble
Genre: SciFI Alien Romance
Standalone: Kind of, not really
Part of a Series: Book 1 of Thoherian Barbarians
POV: Hetta and O'Rrin
Steam Level: Slow Burn to Steamy
4/5

This is the first book I've read by Roxie Ray. It was a fun alien romance, full of action, steam, humor and romance. While Hetta and O'Rrin's book is finished, the last chapter leads into the next book. Several questions are left unanswered and several potential storylines are started, leaving room for potentially several more books in this series in addition to N'ashtar's book (Book 2). I haven't read/listened to many alien romances but I was in the mood for something different. I enjoyed O'Rrin The Protector and this was a great introduction to Roxie Ray.

I received this audiobook for free from Audiobook Obsession. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Aliens

This is an excellent beginning to this series, as it gives good background on the natives living on the planet the human woman crashed on and why the humans crashed there to begin with. An excellent ending that leads straight into book two as well. Katie does an excellent job with the narrative, with pitch changes with each character. Very enjoyable to listen to.

Written well

These aliens have a softer side that you don’t usually see with these types of books. It was a refreshing change. The characters were written very well and likeable. Great storyline that flows into book 2 perfectly. Great performance from Katie.
