Story
Action. Adventure. Women. Lots of wonderful, maddening women. It would be an ideal world, an ideal life after the last week's carnage and mayhem.... Except for the part where the local Overmind has taken an unhealthy interest in me and wants to both make my life a living nightmare and an unparalleled paradise. What is there not to like? Despite the situation we found ourself in and having to get used to our new life, all I needed were Scarlet and Katya. But it wouldn't be interesting if a single day could go by without the cosmic order kicking you in the nuts.

Story
I thought the last thing I would have expected while working at the mall during the holiday season was to meet a real elf woman. Then the blue-skinned ogre tore through the mall. The elf and I made a quick escape and ended up in a strange fantasy world. Now, I’m finding out that the elves have been in decline for centuries and are being hunted to extinction for their magical abilities. They need someone to help them. Someone to protect them. Someone with magical powers that could make elves strong like they used to be.

After fighting a troll in a back alley, I found out the supernatural was real. Then I discovered I'm a dragon shifter. Soon after, I learned I'm also a mage. Turns out this combination is incredibly rare, and now everyone wants a piece of me. Being a dragon, there's only one thing I want to do: gather my hoard. Power. Magic. Women. Riches. Rob is a sheriff's deputy faced with a choice: die in a meaningless shootout six hours from now, or accept the offer of a new life in another world offered by a mysterious goddess. But it won't be easy. He has to bring law and order to the wild frontier. The shocks keep coming when he finds out humans aren't native to Olimero. It is a land populated with fierce orcs, wild beastkin, and cunning elves. He may not have their magic, but he does have an edge. As an outsider, he has no cap on his stats. He will need to train, fight, and survive if he wants to rule.

Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Minalan gave up a promising career as a professional warmage to live the quiet life of a village spellmonger in the remote mountain valley of Boval. It was a peaceful, beautiful little fief, far from the dangerous feudal petty squabbles of the Five Duchies, on the world of Callidore. There were cows. Lots of cows. And cheese. For six months things went well: He found a quaint little shop, he befriended the local lord, the village folk loved him, he found a sharp young apprentice to help out, and, best yet, he met a comely young widow with the prettiest eyes.

Keras Selyrian is already well on the way to cutting his name into the annals of legend. He’s fought false divinities, thieving sorcerers, and corrupt demigods - and left them defeated in his wake. But he’s a long way from home, and Kaldwyn offers a different brand of danger than he’s used to. He’s already got a sword of unfathomable power, but it’s damaged and leaking world-annihilating mana, so he’s in the market for a new one. Possibly six. The more the better, really.

Publisher's Summary
A freak accident leaves childhood friends Aiden and Scarlet dead and stranded in Hazard Online, a VR MMORPG.

They ally with two young women who seem to know much more than they're letting on and an AI Overmind who offers them a deal. But perhaps it's better to let some secrets stay hidden, and sacrificing their humanity may be the only way to survive....

Fun LitRPG/Gamelite adventure!
Great story and narration!
Coming from the top of the raid world champion scene, the MC wakes up to find that all that is left of him is his uploaded consciousness. With his world rocked to its very core, he must work with a shady game dev, a nympho groupie, and a half-psychotic teammate from his glory days, to level up, reconnect with his friends, and survive the strange circumstances surrounding them.
This one was a wild ride, and I can't wait for the next book to come out!

Wild Ride
Definitely not what I was expecting. It was written in the Russian style of gamelit novels, with less crunchiness than most. The character's emotions were completely wild and bipolar, but it was actually realistic for people who had just died and ended up in their situation. The MC got everything handed to him on a silver platter, but that was what tipped him off to the experiments the big baddies were doing to him. The plot was good and since we only lived about 3 days in the book it was more about emotional reckoning than moving through to a goal. Once I understood what the MC was going through I thought that his actions and his friends actions lined up with what could be expected, but each of these people is extremely flawed so don't expect societal norms. This book also has a lot of happytimes explicitness so don't read it unless you're ok with adult situations.

It’s a keeper
While I usually delete most books after listening to them. I’m definitely going to have to go back and listen to this one again. There’s enough action on and off the battlefield that you won’t even see the plot twist at the end sneaking up on you.
It’s a great shame on audible not to have book two ready for purchase yet.

So this is my first audible RPG book and it was amazing. The narrator gets into character and does different voices for each one. The story was well thought out and well executed. My favorite character wasn’t in all of the book but he does have an important role. I’ll be looking for the next one for sure.

This book is excellent!!
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. If you're into mature books this is definitely a one of them. The storyline is excellent!! Do I think all the mature scenes were necessary? No, but they definitely add flavor to the story. This book is not intended for anyone under 18. NSFW, but if you want a ride go ahead and try this rollercoaster of a book.

Great narration and solid plot.
So this is my first proper litRPG audiobook. I typically listen to straight fantasy or scifi.
The narration is excellent and he does great voices for each character. It all flows quite logically from one scene to the next and narrator manages to make each scene feel alive and real.
The story is good and the fight scenes are in fact very good, the style of writing does require some getting used to but became a non issue shortly into the book. The narration helps as well and feel I definitely enjoyed listening to the audiobook more than if I were reading the book off my kindle.

Contrived Plot.
The MC is not very ambitious which forces the story into an uncomfortable place where something shady, glitchy or stupid is always going on. there are random leaps in logic and everything revolves around 6 characters in the real world and 2 characters in the game. when this is meant to be an MMORPG. They dont set up the skill and leveling system well enough and what if means to have a difference in levels except for more damage and health. The author is basically asking you to treat the world like its real, but its better than reality, and it has a game system. Which has been done 100 times over without adding anything new.
