Tiffany is trapped in a life she never wanted for herself. The man she fell in love with turned out to be a lazy, good-for-nothing womanizer. Night after night Tiffany comes home to Blake’s physical, mental, and verbal abuse. She’s tried leaving it in the past, but somehow he always finds her. Each time, she comes back and convinces herself things will get better. Then one day Blake beats her for the last time. Tiffany decides death is the only way out - and she’s not the one being buried. Her life takes a drastic turn as she attempts to live the life she’s always wanted.

Lucky and Quick are childhood friends trying to make a name for themselves. They have been working corners, proving their loyalty to the streets and waiting for their big break. When they finally get the chance to prove themselves, they quickly climb up the ladder and find themselves working for the top dogs. Everything happens so fast that they end up on opposite sides of the fence and become enemies.

Quick and Tiffany meet under unfortunate circumstances, but they instantly connect and fall in love. Tiffany is pulled into Quick’s street world full of lies and revenge. Lucky and Quick are constantly going against each other, and the friendship seems to be lost forever. When the opportunity comes along for both of them to be on the top spot, will they be able to rekindle the friendship?

Unexpected Ending of a Good Story

Loved this story. Wish there would have been more of a buildup from one event to the next at times but it didn't take away from the story. Gonna start the next book soon so I'm excited to see the transition. The narrator had the correct tone but at times sounded like she added comas that were not really there. Still she was a good narrator. I would definitely recommend.

the reader's voice.

It was hard (at times) to gallows the story because of the way she was reading, the voices she use. But over all its alright

Tiffany and Quick

I felt so bad for Tiffany. When she got with Quik, I was so happy for her. She met someone that loved her😀. Then the ex Blake wouldn't and couldn't let go. He was just a crazy nut. Then there was the gangster side of the book. Lucky and Quick, the best friends then enemies and then best friends again. The ending was sad . Overall I enjoyed the book. Love 💘 Treasure books.

Narrator

So the story is pretty good but this narrator is horrible. She sounds like a computer. I feel it could have been a better story if there was a better narrator.

Narrator

Misty Reign kills me with these so unnecessary pauses and emphases. The story was cool but a terrible narrator can make it extremely hard to get through.

Horrible ending

The book is decent. However. The ending is a mess. Some Bonnie & Clyde mess. Otherwise, great performance.

Poor poor Narration!!!!!

The story was really good, filled with great writing. As an avid audiobook listener due to my inability to concentrate long enough to start and finish reading a book. Audiobooks opened up a whole new love for books. Unfortunately, this narrator pauses inappropriately, gives dramatic tone in the wrong places, and given a chance to read with proper flair to any given sentence, FAILS!!! I am not at all saying I could do it better but I am also not applying for a job as an audiobook narrator. Ms. Reign, Read the book first, if necessary read it ten times until you understand & connect with the story this may help in your ability to read and dramatize the book in the correct manner. Just saying...

Decent Story, held my attention

I became frustrated at times with the logic of Tiffany. Running from the scene when she had every right.
