Publisher's Summary

I rejected my fated mate and didn’t regret it for a second. Until now.

Shipped off to Ravenscroft University, a graduate school for the supernatural elite, I have a lot to live up to. As the heir to America’s most powerful pack, my life, up to now, has been spent in a gilded cage. But not for the reason you might think.

I was locked away, not to be protected, but because I was born broken. A disappointment to them all. A wolf who couldn’t shift.

This is supposed to be my fresh start, but my past won’t leave me alone. Not when he’s here. The arrogant wolf shifter who ruined my life after I turned him down seven years ago. Now, I’m a pariah, followed by the rumors my rejected mate has spread, hated by my classmates, isolated again.

From everyone but them.

A vampire prince.

A forbidden priest.

A powerful demigod.

A bully wolf.

I’m playing a dangerous game, and the rules say I can’t be with them. Then again, rules are made to be broken.

And when every moment spent with them brings me closer to finding my wolf, how can I stay away?

Warning: This book is not for the faint of heart. It contains an obsessive stalker; a foulmouthed, inked, and pierced werewolf; a naughty professor with a fondness for watching; a god of mischief; and plenty of heat. If you don’t like your books spicy, your men broody, built, and more bad than good, then this is not the series for you. But if you do...press play, and welcome to the Mate Games.

Compelling, Magnetic, & Fun

-Obsession (The Mate Games, Book 1) By: Meg Anne, K. Loraine
-Narrated by: Jason Clarke, J.F. Harding, Stella Hunter, James Joseph, Aaron Shedlock, Shane East

I received an ALC in exchange for an honest review. This book is a lot of spice and everything nice!!! The writing was a quite captivating due to the fact the characters were epic, magnetic, and memorable!!! Such a beautiful and feisty heroine named Sunday Fallon can not shift as a wolf quite yet ‘til she find the right mate. She was shipped off to Ravenscroft University, supernatural elite to get some help and boy, she encountered 4 “possibility” mates for her: the vampire prince-Noah "Thorne" Blackthorne, bully wolf-Kingston Farrell, demigod-Alek Nordson, and priest Father-Caleb Gallagher. The plot provided plenty of mischievous, alluring and passionate moments that just blew me away!!!! The more you listen, the more you get into the story!

Stella Hunter is the voice for Sunday Fallon/side female characters: Love her performance!!! She managed to provide Sunday such a strong, feisty, and a whole lot of confidence when it comes what she wants! She trusts her own abilities even if odds are against her. Yes, it seems as if the men couldn’t take their eyes off of her. Well, as I listen, it is as if I couldn’t take my “ears” off of her.

James Joseph is the voice of vampire prince-Noah "Thorne" Blackthorne: This is my first time I heard this audiobook narrator. Wow and Amazing! Where have I been? Thorne is already seems sexy dominant person but man, James, also, truly captured this character to become so mysterious and caring person. I can not deny not wanting to listen to him in another audiobook.

J.F. Harding is the voice of bully wolf-Kingston Farrell: Why, hello there? Another audiobook narrator I have not listen to ‘til this book. Incredible performance made me feel all his emotions he is going through. He captivated his cockiness, a bit conceded yet behind his facade, there is a broken heart that you just want to mend for some reason. Okay, I had to check out more audiobooks with J.F.Harding! You got me as a fan!

Aaron Shedlock is the voice of demigod-Alek Nordson: Well, we meet again, Aaron! He is one of my favorite audiobook narrators. He can do many voice characters and he is my all-time when it comes to paranormal romance books. I swear, he had the ability to have this character to be optimistic, emotional, and sharp! I wouldn’t mind hanging out with Alek at all. Yup, Give Aaron an Oscar! Enough said.

Jason Clarke is the voice of priest Father-Caleb Gallagher and Sunday’s Father: Jason is my #1 audiobook narrator & he is always on top of his game when it comes to narrating any book. His performance for Caleb, under a ravishing “irish accent” and Sunday’s father are super electrifying and intimidating! Caleb is not only can be an over achiever, challenger, but he does have a heart to try to protect the one he loves. Yup, give Jason an Oscar, too!!!

Plus, It was delightful to have an familiar voice to hear in one of the side characters and it was Shane East!!!!

The audio performance is a “whoa” factor for me. I mean, once I received the ALC, I press play, and enter the Mate Games, I enjoyed every minute of it. In fact, I enjoyed it so much, I listened to it twice. So, I would highly recommend this romance book if you are truly into delicious, sexy yet toxic, and dangerous encounters of paranormal love. (Warning: triggers may occur.)

Spicy!!

This book was very tantalizing and steamy for sure. I loved the male characters our Sunday falls for. The audible narrating was superb!
The only drawback to me is the majority of the novel was intimate scenes, there wasn't much in the way of the plot. We get info that Sunday has something special about her, and that hunters are after her, and a few vague details about her choosing correctly to avoid an apocalypse. However, that's all the action we face really.
I am hoping more info is shared with us in the next novel about who/want she is and the struggle the characters face.
Overall the book was really good and I'll read the next for sure.

Naughty, sassy, and so good at being bad.

Well, I did not see this book coming. It was everything I loved, sass, action, secrets. fighting alpha-pain-in -the-butt, lures and cravings, a good bad guy, and moments to swoon over.

Definitely recommending this, it was well written, and with out giving to much away it flowed perfectly, can't wait for the next book.

XOXO Lottie.

The Start of an Obsession!

*I received an Advanced Listener Copy in exchange for my honest review*

K. Loraine & Meg Anne's debut collaboration is a solid hit. Their individual paranormal romance voices blend to craft an exciting new series fans affectionately call, Super Harem.

Sunday Fallon can’t resist the pull of attraction to four unique men she meets at Ravenscroft University. Vampires Noah and Caleb (a priest before immortality), werewolf Kingston and demi-god Alek each believe the beautiful shifter is their destiny. Though we have a thorough introduction to the men, Book 1 focuses on her growing bond with Noah. Throughout the story, all of the men devote themselves to the mission of keeping Sunday safe from an unfamiliar threat, while having some spicy fun along the way.

In regards to heat, Meg & K incorporate a variety of kink and the results are red hot! With genuine consideration for their audience, the authors disclose potential trigger information at www.themategames.com. While sinfully spicy, intimate scenes aren’t gratuitous, contribute to the plot and foster development of the lovers’ relationships.

Regarding the audio, oh, the narrators! New kid on the romance block James Joseph will set your earbuds on fire. He’s likely the hottest British voice I’ve ever heard; that’s including my British husband and even… THAT narrator. Yep, I said what I said. Duet-style (everyone voicing their own dialogue regardless of the POV) is my favorite narration and props to Stella Hunter for her, ahem, stamina while recording with the likes of James, J.F. Harding, and Aaron Shedlock and Jason (Effing!) Clarke. Also, veteran Brit Shane East pops in, briefly. In particular, James Joseph stands out from the pack with a voice that I’d want to proclaim me as his chosen one.

Overall, this first installment in the Mate Games series is absolutely worth your cash or credit. I'm ready to collect all four stories in this spicy reverse harem!

WHOOWEE!!I LOVE THIS NARRATION!!

I can count the number of reviews I've done for audible on one hand and I had to do this one!
This book is fantastic. Characters are well developed and relationships are person specific on where they are individually.
There is personal growth that was needed and more still to come.
I've pre-ordered everything I could. books and narration.
Noah has my heart but I want to share my soul with Caleb.
The marathon really was everything!

This needs to be a movie/series 🔥❤️

I’m enjoying this book so far, it’s kept me wanting more. The four male characters are all likeable. Sunday is cruel to Kingston, she goes on like she’s in the right and treats him with a lack of respect. It’s no wonder he behaves the way he does. Looking forward to reading book 2

The narrators are all fabulous

Sunday and Noah!

Sunday knows that she has disappointed her family with her inability to shift and his hoping that attending Ravenscroft will allow her to find her inner wolf. She knows that means facing Kingston, her biggest nemesis, but she never expected that she would be drawn to three other men as well.

Kingston is still dealing with the aftereffects of being publicly rejected by Sunday and although he hasn’t handled it well that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have feelings for her. Caleb is the vampire priest who is trying to deny his less than pure thoughts about Sunday. Alek is a demigod who we didn’t get to know enough about, and he leaves us wanting more. Noah is a vampire prince who will do whatever is necessary to prove to Sunday that they are mates.

With the different narrators for the different characters it gives each of them their own personality and gives you immediate insight to who is speaking. This is the first of the series and I am looking forward to more of these characters and their story.

Stella Hunter steals the show

K. Loraine and Meg Anne have crafted an amazing story of intrigue, mystery, and sexiness that will keep you inthralled from the first to the last page. Not to mention anxiously counting down the days to the next book, Reflection.

Honesty time. I wasn’t going to read this book until all four books in the series were released. However, I caved, and I am so glad that I did.

Not only is this a fantastic storyline with characters you will instantly love, (and maybe hate) but they are performed by some of the best voice actors in the business. Jason Clarke, J.F. Harding, James Joseph, Aaron Shedlock, and Stella Hunter each bring something unique to the character they voice.

JC brings an Irish brogue that will have the fangirls swooning as vampire priest, Caleb. J.F. Harding is alpha AF as Shifter, Kingston. James Joseph is fast becoming a go-to British voice and for good reason, he voices vampire, Noah. Aaron Shedlock bring a whole new appreciation as Norse God, Alek.

But stealing the show is Stella Hunter as Sunday, a shifter who can’t shift. She is phenomenal in this book. There are so many female voices, for people, creatures, and accents, at times, I wasn’t even sure if it was her. I kept thinking they had left off another female voice actor because each voice was so distinct. I was blown away.

I loved how this story had me captivated from the beginning. I needed to know why these men were so drawn to Sunday and how she was ever going to choose. (Don’t do it, girl! It’s a trap!) the interactions of the characters had me laughing, groaning, and swooning.

I liked that although this is a university, the characters are a little older than I expected. Not that I’m opposed to standard university age, but it just added to the uniqueness of the story.

If spicy is your jam, this book has that a plenty, but it is so much more than that. It is intriguing and suspenseful and yes, sexy. If you’re anything like me, you will be hard-pressed to pick a side. Each has qualities that draw you to them. I vote all of them! It is a RH after all.

I cannot wait for book two.

If you don’t think PNR or RH is your thing, I urge you to give this book a try. I think you’ll be surprised by how much you enjoy it.

Holy smokin' hotness!

I listened to the audiobook of OBSESSION by K. Loraine and Meg Anne, and, whew, what an experience! Not that it comes as a surprise with a cast like that, let alone the fact that every male of the RH gets his own voice. Especially Ms. Loraine keeps ruining me with her audios for all others out there – and I don’t know if I should be mad or thankful, lol.

The story – a wild, deliciously steamy ride with a side of angst and mystery. There are vampires, a wolf shifter, and a Norse god. And did I mention the explosive, decadent steaminess?! *fans self* All of that is brought together in a riveting plot that will have you salivating for more.

I’m ready to go back to Ravenscroft University!

I loved it!

This is the first book in the mate game series, a Paranormal Romance. This is a great introduction to this new series. The characters are amazing and well developed. Sunday Fallon is such a feisty, strong and determined character. Her men are handsomely alpha, sexy, possessive, ruthless, and powerful: Noah (Thorne) Blackthorne (a vampire prince), Alek Nordson (a sweet demigod), Father Caleb Gallagher (a tormented priest, and OMG!! He is hot!), Kingston Farrell (an arrogant wolf shifter). The chemistry is off the charts. The world building is complex and captivating. The storyline is filled with steamy scenes, action, and twists and turns. No dull moments in this installment. Looking forward to listening to Rejection, the next book in the series. The full cast of narrators is impressive! They brilliantly bring this story to life. Jason Clarke, J.F. Harding, Stella Hunter, James Joseph, Aaron Shedlock, and Shane East did an outstanding job with the narration. The acting is entertaining, the voices are very pleasant to listen to, and the audio quality is flawless. This is an amazing team authors/narrators. This is a fantastic start to this new series. I HIGHLY recommend it. If you like RH PNR, or if you would like to listen to a fantastic story, wonderfully narrated, this audiobook is for you.

Brilliant start to a new series

This is the first book of K. Loraine & Meg Anne's that I have read/listened to and it certainly won't be my last. This had me completely hooked from the very beginning! Right now I can't even decide which of the guys is my favourite because I love them all! Sunday is one heck of a FMC, you can't not fall in love with her kick*** attitude. As for the guys, as I have said, I love them all, they all have they own individual awesomeness. Add in a sassy bestie and that was the icing on this fantastic, new series' cake. I cannot wait to find out what else is in store for Sunday and her guys in the rest of this series. As for the narration, it was absolutely superb! Having so many narrators just gave this audio that extra special something. Roll on the next book for when I can hear more!

Fantastic Fantasy Fun start to the series.

This book has consumed me, I don’t want to do anything else except listen to this audiobook over and over again 🤪

So many accents to entice me and curl my toes. Oooh to be Sunday and be enthralled by 4 very different men.

Sunday has been so protected and hidden before being sent away by her grandfather to a bordering school for the supernatural elite. Yet Sunday’s shifter wolf still has yet to manifest itself. So needless to say she’s apprehensive to be going there at all. But she can’t defy her grandfather’s name by not going.

Stella Hunter is amazing with all of the female characters in this epic beginning of this series. I love her as Sunday Fallon as she learns more about her wolf and how to make her wolf come out. Then she’s also dealing with her infatuation and lust for 4 alpha men all of whom are vastly different and swoon worthy by themselves and who she’s trying to find her place among.

Then there are the men! James Joseph is new to my ears but I’m panting over his British voice for the first suitor to entice Sunday’s heart. He’s the forbidden vampire to her wolf but they can’t help the attraction they feel deeply for one another. Hot af sensuality between these two have me wanting more now!

JF Harding is the one who is supposed to be Sunday’s mate. He’s the Alpha wolf to her, but Sunday rejected him at the start. But she had reasons to deflect him before? Now though, she’s conflicted by her growing attraction to him as well as the others. JF brings Kingston’s cockiness and his insecurities to light in this first book of the series. Yet Kingston knows he is fated to be linked with Sunday and he’s fighting his attraction for her as well.

Then there’s Aaron Shedlock as the yummy Demi-God Alek. OMG the accent overload in this audiobook may send me to an early grave because it is making my heart flutter rapidly. He’s also the first to proclaim his want for Sunday regardless of whom else is going to be part of her harem.

Then to make this even more exciting. We have the sexy priest voiced by none other than Jason Clarke. Yikes, this book is so good my ovaries might explode.

Y’all need this book in your life if you love an adventure because it’s all just beginning and you will be like me, listening to this again and again while waiting for the story to continue.

Great start to a hot and spicy series

The Mate Games is soooo going to be my summer obsession this year! I'm already dying for more, and I'm so excited that there are 4 books to devour because I cannot get enough of these characters, this story, the steam! I've never wanted to be a shifter than hasn't fully manifested in my entire life, but Sunday makes it sound damned exciting to me!

There is so much amazingly good naughtiness in this first installment. We get to know some really fascinating things about each of our main characters. Sunday is whip smart, snarky, determined and strong. She is no fool. And she has four of the most decadent devotees vying for her attention, looking out for her safety, and ready to cater to her every whim. Thorne, Alex, Kingston, Caleb - I don't which to love more. Even when Sunday is clashing with Kingston, the sparks are flying.

The narration is so beautifully done. I love full cast audio - it's like an old school radio show, fully immersive and engrossing. The casting is amazing. Five of the top narrators in the field with Stella Hunter, Aaron Shedlock, James Joseph, Jason Clarke and JF Harding. Each voice is distinctive and gives the characters so much soul and emotion.

The Mate Games series is off to an explosive start with Obsession. Meg Ann, K. Loraine - bring it, I'm ready for more.
