Publisher's Summary

The only thing standing between me and death is my secret.

I’m a legacy - a secret I’d planned on taking to my grave. Gareth, the enigmatic leader of the Supernatural Guild, knows it, but can I trust him to keep it? When mysterious deaths occur as a result of magic that mimics my own, I no longer have to worry about Gareth exposing me - it will be one of my own that does. Another legacy is causing the chaos, and I’m forced to hunt my own kind. It seems simple, but we’ve existed for as long as we have because we’re better hunters than prey.

I’m forced to work with Gareth to clear my name and find the legacy responsible. Not only is my secret about to be revealed - so is his. Gareth is much more dangerous than I expected. Is he my friend or my enemy?

Moving along...

I thought that book one was better, there were a few things in this book that started annoying me. The woe is me I'm a Legacy really got to me after a while, it seems out of character. I would also like the author to stop re-explaining the cleanse every time it's mentioned, seriously we either understand by now or we never will!

I'm really enjoying the tension and the unfolding relationship between Levy and Gareth, the romantic and humorous elements were much needed.

I enjoyed the book enough that I'll definitely get the next book, but I'll be hoping book 3 is better.

The narration was the highlight of the book, the character voices are excellent and the delivery was dynamic and enjoyable to listen to.

I received a free copy of this book from the author and/or narrator and/or publisher and I voluntarily wrote this honest review.

Love this Audio Series!

Narrator was really Great! I really Enjoy this Awesome Series. The story is very well written. I am hoping the rest of the Series is just as good as Books one and two!
Happy Listening!

Disappointed

Review continued. Just finished the second book. She's really unlikable. What's with her being so angry at Gareth? He's told her what and why he has a connection to the trackers but she gets ridiculously angry and explosive. He's on her side and admittedly always has been before he even met her! How is he a conceited narcissist?! What has he done other than be himself and a nice guy no less. He's literally done nothing wrong. Those are all reasons why she's completely obnoxious and stuck up. I'll need to take a hard pass on the next books, maybe I'll like Savannahs books if hers are out, she seems cool. This book is so repetitive and goes absolutely no where, it's like the first all over again.

Will head for next in series

Entertaining. Twists & humor help balance repetition, cliches and frequent lengthy fight scenes. Excellent narrator. Very willing to get book 3 in the audio series.

Captivating story with excellent narrator

I love this series & the narrator is superb! The first audio book I tried, I returned because I couldn’t stand the narrator, even though the story was excellent. This series however, hits a total home run with both!!

eh.

The main character has spent the last two books making stupid choices and fighting with every other character as they try to help her. I understand that it's an attempt to build tension, but it just caused me to be anxious and angry.

one of my favorites!

I read the first books in the series a few months to a year ago. then I was waiting for book for to come out the last book of the series. now I'm rereading the series on Audible. it is one of my top 3 favorite series. You can't help but to fall in love with Levy and Garrett. this is a fast-paced book with no fillers! I highly recommend

groundhog day

I felt like connor and Olivia's interactions in the last half of the book were repetitive and boring a heck. I mean just how many times can she "decide he just can't be reasoned with" or "the effort to try to reason with him was wasted because he would never come around" or some variation of the same can you have in 10 chapters? lazy

A fun twisted fight between a few and magic and shifters. Is there a small romance blooming!

was a ok read good for beginners to fantasy

this was ok read I wouldn't say it was the best book. the narrator was fantastic for the story but I was a little bit disappointed on how match the main character is such a pushover she doesn't seem to have much of a backbone but apart from that it's a easy listen
