Publisher's Summary

From best-selling author duo Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff comes the exciting finale in the trilogy that broke the mould.

Kady, Ezra, Hanna, and Nik narrowly escaped with their lives from the attacks on Heimdall station and now find themselves crammed with 2,000 refugees on the container ship Mao. With the jump station destroyed and their resources scarce, the only option is to return to Kerenza - but who knows what they'll find seven months after the invasion?

Meanwhile, Kady's cousin, Asha, survived the initial BeiTech assault and has joined Kerenza's ragtag underground resistance. When Rhys - an old flame from Asha's past - reappears on Kerenza, the two find themselves on opposite sides of the conflict.

With time running out, a final battle will be waged on land and in space, heroes will fall, and hearts will be broken.

Best audio series ever

Yass this series is complete. I loved the unique and captivating way that Kaufman and Kristoff wrote these books. If you haven't yet started this series... what are you waiting for. I highly, HIGHLY recommend the audio of this series.
This was one hell of a finale. I need time to recover, so keeping it short if you loved Illuminae and Gemina this is even better with all the characters back to fight the Bei-Tech for everything they did to them. I am impressed with how the story came had its closure.
If you love sci-fi with quirky humour give this one a shot , you wont be disappointed.

Surveillance summary, prepared by Analyst ID 1903

As the scene opens, our hero is again seen sat in his comfy chair, headphones on and we hear his now customary exclamations that accompany the frequently changing expressions showing changes of emotional state between shock, horror, amusement, concern, relief...

< ERROR >

Even though the first two books are packed with action, this steps it up into overdrive. With the combined cast looking to survive and get the word out after the destruction of Heimdall, the race is on to commandeer a mobile jump station belonging to BeiTech for the journey back to the core systems.

< ERROR >
< ERROR >

The pace is frenetic, especially during the grand finale, as the plot twists this way and that leaving us to wonder how, or even if, our heroes will survive. AIDAN is on particularly fine form as the 'bad guy' working on the side of good and I love this quote in particular:

I am not good.
Nor am I evil.
I am no hero.
Nor am I villain.
< error >
< error >
I
am
AIDAN.

The winner is still the format in the paper version and the fantastic full cast in the audio book. Since I thought the previous books were worth 5 stars, this must logically be worth 6...

Awesome conclusion to a great trilogy.

I loved the full cast production which still was a full performance of the entire book (books)

Loved it

All a bit ridiculous but a satisfying third book in the series. Full of clever twists and turns. If you enjoyed the first two books then this one will not disappoint.

Fantastic roller-coaster ride of a conclusion!

Wow, what a roller-coaster ride! Emotionally draining is an understatement. As always the full cast audio makes this a really emersive experience and it was full of twists and turns. Very fitting end to a great series.
