Publisher's Summary

High in goblin-infested mountains lies the ruins of Ter Dell, the lost stronghold of the dwarves. Evil lurks beneath layers of ice and broken stone, buried in a vault of gold, hungering for the day that man’s greed would see it unearthed.

That day has come.

For I am Rheanon, one of the adoptive daughters of Lady Eville - and I’m trapped in a web of deceit with the king’s deadly blades-enchanted beings that guard the king and hunt those with magic.

Beset by enemies, I must use my gift of alchemy to forge a sentient blade with ancient knowledge and a sharp edge. I needed a powerful weapon. I got a giant pain in the axe.

Had me laughing out loud!

This by far is my favorite book. With some of the other girls they had so much doubt or indecision. I felt as tho Rhea was so much more confident and academic.

The side characters in this one had me giggling. I really enjoyed this story. Ready to read about honor!

I love all of the daughters of Eville, but Rhaya

Before I write this review I would just like to apologize for any misspellings of the names. I’ve only listened to this. I haven’t read it, so I’m sorry in advance.
Oh my gosh I love how the author portrayed Rhaya. All of the other sisters are fierce, sassy, and a little scary. Rhaya though couldn’t be scary if she tried, and she has. She’s really sweet, but she still has that sass that i’ve come to expect. I haven’t seen Rhaya much in any of the other books, she was just a side character. I’ve loved getting to know her in this book. I can’t wait to get to know Honor. That audiobook better be coming out soon. I’ll be waiting.
also the performance is phenomenal. I know Jesse Vilinsky reads all of the books in the series, but I love that.
