Publisher's Summary

The epic finale of the Becker Brothers series. Each book can be listened to as a stand-alone.

It's a man's world.

When I declared sports medicine as my major and every man narrowed their eyes, that saying proved true. It was true when my ex-husband decided I'd give up my career when our daughter was born. And again when I divorced the Chief of Police in our small town, and he made it painfully clear that I could leave him, but I would never be free.

Landing the job as the new athletic trainer for Stratford's high school team is my chance to start over. And walking into a male-dominated sport and staff, I'm ready for the challenge.

I'm not ready for Jordan Becker.

The head coach of our championship winning team is a Herculean force of nature - as severe as he is determined. His icy blue eyes and permanent scowl drive the women in this town mad, and his quiet power and undeniable command conjure respect from every man.

When I join his team, I expect the doubt and anticipate the fight from him. And I get them both.

I don't expect to form a friendship.

And I never expect to fall for him.

My breath catches when those cool eyes fall to my lips. My body comes alive when his is near. And as those lines begin to blur, every warning bell sounds.

My job, my reputation are on the line.

And my ex is around every corner, waiting to remind me of his power.

It's a man's world, and if I want to survive, I can never fall in love with Jordan Becker.

Even if he falls in love with me first.

insulting

shame on the producer! how is it that a character growing up in rural TN - since he was a baby! - has a decidedly urban and ethnic accent?! the narrator was able to carry off other accents, so why this choice? distracting and insulting! accents are regional, not racial. wake up!

Story Great. Narrators Horrible

This was a great conclusion to an amazing series. It was so nice to finally get the answers to the father‘s death, and other important issues surrounding the Becker family. I love these boys, and I’m jealous of all the girls who got to marry one them.🤣 Kandi is good at writing small town, romances, with a lot of angst.

I like Jordan. He seemed like an amazing brother who always looked after his family. His story is sad, but I’m very happy that he got his happily ever after and was able to get the answers about his adoption. There is a huge shocker at the end of the story which I never saw coming.

I do wish that the mom would have found true love again. I was hoping she and Kylie’s dad would end up together because they both lost the love of their lives. She was such an integral part of all four books, and the brothers were so good to her that I thought she should have closure too. The fact that they would dance with her every night was so touching and it made me so thankful that I have a son. You knew that they were all going to make great husbands because they were so good to their mama.

I really didn’t care for the narrators of this audiobook. The male narrator read like he was in third grade. It didn’t flow, and he was very hard to listen to. I almost stopped it and just read the book, but I powered through it. This is the first audiobook that I didn’t enjoy from Kandi.

A Tale of Tennessee at it’s Best and Worst

Although not a native of Tennessee Kandi Steiner captured small town Tennessee in a very realistic way. The passion for high school football and the crookedness of Tennessee politics hit home with me having grown up there. I will add this to my list of books I read (or listen to) yearly. Takes me home.

THIS WOULD MAKE. A WONDERFUL MINI SERIES FOR TV

Oh my goodness! What a wonderful saga. I wish they would make a mini series of this set of books! All four work together to create a wonder set of live stories surrounded by two great mysteries that are solved in the end. The underlying theme of the greatness of a loving family continues to evolve and thrive. I would love to see a follow up book that shows the family sometime in the future for a get together or better yet one about Paige her senior year or shortly thereafter. This family was so dedicated to living one another and this allowed you to rejoice for them when they finally found happiness with their true loves. I hope I see more in this series!

Cute story, extremely long proposal

I enjoyed the story, for the most part. I really wonder if any men actually go down on one and talk for 5 minutes when making a marriage proposal as I keep reading over and over in various books. seriously? if someone was proposing to me like that I would have to say get to the point buddy. So I didn't listen to the rest of the book, I stopped it during the marriage proposal because it went on and on and on. Other than that, the book was interesting and fairly entertaining, although a bit slow.

Great ending to the series, although when does Mom Becker get her story told and great new love?

This was a great way to end the series although I feel like the mom’s story was so left out. She’s just such an integral part of each book, especially this one yet we never hear her side. I think the author must write one more about Mom and give her a happier ending than she has with seeing her kids happy, which is what all Mother’s want. But as a 60 year old women it feels as if there’s a little agism going on if you don’t think older women can love and find love over 60. I thought the narrator did great. I saw some
Comments about him that I thought were somewhat rude and definitely misplaced. He fit the description of Jordon perfectly. Good job DeVante Johnson.

Glad I didn’t ditch it at chapter 3 as planned

I could NOT get past the narration of Jordan, I understand that he is a black man but also knowing he was raised in a very prominent white town by a white family UG.... the narration almost had me turn it off. Glad I stayed the course even if I skipped large portions of the story to finally find out what happened to John Becker.
