Just Didn't Like

I didn't like the first book in the series at all, this one had higher ratings so gave it a try but it's not better. The female in both books are so arrogant that I can't stretch my imagination to see how a guy would just fall over himself for her. Is easier tho believe sci-fi whitten by a ten year old.
The voices. Many complaints about the male lead having a voice too effeminate to be a rock star. To them I say Google Paul Stanley and listen to one of his interviews. (KISS is arguably one of the bigger rock groups with a huge following and his voice is just as, if not more, effeminate). The guy is the bass player, not the lead singer, his voice is irrelevant.
I didn't enjoy either voice but it has nothing to do with the fact that he wasn't a tenor. They just don't seem comfortable basing and they don't have much flexibility.

When your in a rock band you think your invincible. Then you have an accident and your life is splattered all over the media. Then you have to perform community service and rehab.
Then your PR people set you with a PR company that is doing an ad campaign about literacy as a child you suffered because you couldn’t read little did you know your one mistake would change your life forevermore

Good

I love the books on the Shaughnessy brothers and the band mates of Riley Shaughnessy. With regard to the criticism of the narrator’s voice, it took me a book or two to get used to it but now I love it and I’m looking for more books narrated by him. I find him enjoyable to listen to.
I could do without the explicit sex talk as I’m more into storyline and romance, but if it gets too bothersome I just fast forward, haha. It’s probably mild compared to some other stuff. It’s just not something I need to hear in the audiobooks I listen to. But it won’t stop me from looking forward to all of the books in the series.

Incredible!

Having a male and female narrator makes the story so much more realistic! The story was incredible! I didn’t want to put the book down!!!

Awkward listening

I fully enjoyed the storyline, but what really irked me was how the story was read. Typically these two readers will play off voices specific to their genders, but they didn’t do that at all in this one. It drove me nuts. Not doing so created so much awkward inconsistency that really reduced the level of enjoyment. I really hope the next book in the series will have better performance.

One More Promise

Aww I enjoyed this one much more than book one. The redemption storylines always get me. Quick and sweet, Dylan was wonderful. And I loved seeing Paige grow and finally find her way at the end. On to book 3 then I’m going to go back and find Riley’s book fro the other series
