Publisher's Summary

Gabby St. Claire knows how to clean up scum. She can get blood out of carpet, pick shattered bones from plaster, and clean less-than-enticing fluids from nearly any surface. St. Claire also knows how to clean up another kind of scum - the scum of the earth.

Crime scene cleaner and wannabe forensic investigator Gabby St. Claire knows her best friend, Sierra, isn't guilty of killing three people in what appears to be an ecoterrorist attack. But Sierra has disappeared, her only contact a frantic phone call. Crime scene evidence Gabby discovers while cleaning ties seemingly random murders together - and points to Sierra as the guilty party. Just what has her animal-loving friend gotten herself into?

If that's not disturbing enough, who's the person following Gabby? A federal agent who hopes Gabby will lead him to Sierra, or someone with more sinister plans? To find Sierra and prove her innocence, Gabby will have to rely on all her training and abilities, the help of a man she loves, and the protection of a God she's only recently begun to believe in.

I love the books but I don’t care for this narrator.

This Narrator has lost the personality of Gabby. It’s to dramatic.

Gabby talks about her X boyfriend but she was the one who encouraged Parker and Charlie to be together. The past book left with Parker and Charlie having Thanksgiving Dinner at her house.
I just started listening to it and will finish but the Narrator has me annoyed.

Ugh, the narrator made it so I couldn't go on.

I was thrown from beginning with voice for Gabby, I tried adjusting speed, no luck. Then Riley sounds like he has chronic laryngitis. I couldn't go on listening.

Great story, awful narrator

Excellent story with great suspense and lots of plot twists. A superb whodunnit. Unfortunately, the narrator makes the listener want to just shut off the book and give up. Found that listening on 1.25X speed makes the story enjoyable.

Mystery and romance!

Organized Grime was two firsts for me. #1. It was the first Audible audiobook I have listened to. #2. It was the first Gabby St. Claire story I have 'read'. And what an introduction! Wow! I am a confirmed fan of Christy Barritt's books and have loved every one that I've read. I can't believe what I've missed in not having read/listened to any of Gabby's stories, you can believe me that I am going to be prowling around on every shelf and device looking for more of them. As for the audiobook part, it was great. The actress reading the story had nice voice that was easy to listen to. I downloaded Organized Grime to my Kindle and I could hardly put it down. I even wound up tucking it into a shoulder bag and carrying it around with me while I did everything. It was a wonderful mystery, filled with Christy Barritt's trademark quirky characters and surprise twists and turns. I had so much fun trying to figure who was involved and why; some of my guesses were spot on but there were some curveballs as well. Organized Grime is an exciting tale of danger and romance that you won't want to miss!

Great book BUT set narration speed to 1.3x

So this was a great installment filled with revelations as well as suspense until the very end. The only downside is that this narrator is nothing like Reba Buhr and at first ruined it for me (she speaks so slowly and over enunciates that it sounds like an overly dramatic thespian on valium) BUT if you just change the speed to 1.3x it becomes tremendously more enjoyable. Gabby is a frantic/spontaneous/passionate/spunky character that requires the quicker paced dialogue for authenticity.

Narration

It was difficult and disappointing to listen to due to the monotone narration. Very dry. Story was good though.

THE Worst Narrator

I love these books, but this narrator is absolutely horrendous. Other than that, it’s amazing!!
Like the names, it’s a morally clean book. 😉 No crude language or scenes.

Review

Liked the book. The narrator improved after increasing the speed. Still pondering the plot twists.

horrible performance, great book.

the performance for the first book was way better! This lady was monotone and expressionless. She sucked the life out of the book.

Bad Narrative

The story line was good, but the narrative sounded at times like a robot, which made it hard to listen.
