The Alt Apocalypse is the ground-breaking, genre-bending series from Tom Abrahams. It explores survival under the most extreme circumstances, but with a twist (and no cliff-hangers). This series, which can be listened to in any order, features the same core characters in each complete story. But every book dunks them into a new, alternate apocalypse; a nuclear holocaust, an earthquake, a flood, a wildfire, a hurricane, a plague, and even zombies.

I loved it !
Would you listen to Outage Boxed Set: Books 1-3 again? Why?
Yes I would, It was well written and a great listen. It kept me on the edge of my seat right from the beginning. I have been listening to a lot of wolf shifter romance lately and this was a great change of pace. I hope T.W. decides to write book #4
What was one of the most memorable moments of Outage Boxed Set: Books 1-3?
When the young couple let their secret out, I did not see that coming, after that I didn't trust anybody.
Which character – as performed by Troy Duran – was your favorite?
I liked several characters but I would have to say Tom.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Oh my gosh yes, there was never really a time in it when I felt I could take a break from it. It was just a great book.
Any additional comments?
Thanks T.W. Piperbrook, I loved your book and hoping for a next book !

one of the best books I've heard in a long time!
First let me say if you like any horror books this is for you. It was so much better than I could have anticipated. The characters were well developed and the story had twists I didn't expect. I can often guess how a story is going to go, that was not the case here. I also love where the author got his idea for the book. I was in that storm also so it was neat that's where it came from. The narrator did an excellent job.

Realistic plot with unexpected twists
I enjoyed the story because, even though there are plenty of werewolf stories out there, this one had a unique, modern twist. The main character was admirable and his actions were realistic, and nothing that happened in the story seemed contrived.

OMG...... unbelievable
When I started this book I didn't think it would be so fantastic. I went by the description when I bought it thinking it's a great price for 3 books and it would be something just to pass time. Boy was I wrong, lol.
The narrator was fabulous, he played all the characters extremely well. I was able to keep up with who was "talking" while I multitasked, as usual, lol. He keep me so engaged at time I wished he'd speak faster, lol.
This book is a real page turner. In my opinion the author did a great job rounding out the story and I'm going to jump right into book 4.
There were so many twists and turns & surprises. I'm not one that cheers on any character in any of the books I've read our listened to but my goodness, as I was doing other things I actually heard myself trying to coax the main character Tom into what to do it not do, lol.
This book does not disappoint the reader or the listener in any way. There's very few cuss words and no sexual parts. Just a fantabulous story, storyline and characters. I did cuss out a few of them tho, lol.
Thanks for reading my review.

Outage
I am not very good at writing reviews, but I just wanted to say I have greatly enjoyed this series .
Great story line, lots of action and plot twist.
And a surprise ending, I did not see coming.
And thankfully I found books 4 and 5.
What happens in a matter of hours in one night , you feel as if the time in the story line is days or weeks.
so much happens in one night, fast passed and never a dull moment!
Loved this series!

Slow start but one of the best werewolf stories
Had this for a while (a year?) before getting past the initial portions. I found myself holding my breath countless time. The suspense was so intense. Already downloaded book 4. THIS us what true horror is, not in for the sex, romance or silly teenyboppers (so bored w the typical 'group of teens or college friends).

Outage Boxes Se: Books 1-3
I'm new to TW Piperbrook, my first Piperbrook experience was the Ruins - which thoroughly enjoyed and, If recommend that series to anyone!!. When I started on the Outage series O wasn't sure where it was headed?. The "beasts" in Outage came as a surprise to me, if never really been into these type of "beast" stories. However, i have to admit that I have loved this take on things, and, once again Piperbrook has thoroughly entertained me!. I enjoy his style of writing which I find to be immersive and griping in a gritty way. Now, I'm looking forward to books 4&5!!.

Glad it was on offer
Not the greatest I'm afraid typical american dime store horror novel. Full of bad decisions, hate of honda civics and the token black guy who loses it.
All read by Troy McClure you may know him from such audio books as "I really don't care about these characters" and "Hurry up and eat everybody". Honestly he must put that accent on. I got the trilogy for £1.99 so can't complain if I'd have paid full price I'd have been upset.

Books 2 and 3 were better than 1.
This was an enjoyable series of books.
However, I thought Abby in book 1 was a bit of a moron. I hated practically every single decision she made!
Eg “Let’s leave our house in a massive snowstorm in an unreliable car, and just hope we can find shelter before the car craps out on us....”
I’m sorry but that seemed very stupid to me. If the car breaks down they’ll wish they were back at home. Well they probably wouldn’t because they’d be frozen to death.
Honestly if all 3 books hadn’t been in one set I wouldn’t have bothered after book 1.
Which would’ve been a shame, because I thought book 2 and 3 were far far better than the first. More action, more drama, fewer dumb decisions (mostly), and much better characters.
I liked how the third book ended too, and I see there are two more sequels. I think I’ll give those a try, since each sequel is better than the last.

Story
It was always a joke. The what ifs and the planning were just conversations to have fun with. Who would be the first to go? Where would people be safe? Who would survive the zombie apocalypse? No one is laughing anymore. Awakening to a nightmare, Dan Foster is forced to flee his suburban Chicago home. Together with his wife Abby and little girl Katie, they begin a dangerous trek across the wintery Midwest in hopes to reconnect with his brother in the heartland of Wisconsin.

Story
It begins with a freak snowstorm in May. Hit hardest is the rural town of Colby, Connecticut. Schools and businesses are closed, powerlines are down, and police detective Jack Glazier has found a body in the snow. It appears to be the victim of a bizarre ritual murder. It won't be the last. As the snow piles up, so do the sacrifices. Cut off from the rest of the world, Glazier teams up with an occult crime specialist to uncover a secret society hiding in their midst. The gods they worship are unthinkable. The powers they summon are unstoppable.

Story
The human race has turned to dust. August Morrison faces it after rising from the depths of a dark matter research facility in Arizona. His co-workers. His daughter. All of them: dust. Friends and colleagues around the world don’t answer their phones. The city of Phoenix burns. He is alone. As a world without mankind starts to crumble, August fights not just for survival, but for his very sanity. On the other side of the country, Poe McDowell watches her parents crumble into dust just moments after being shoved inside a coffin-like device that spares her from the same fate.

Story
Refuge, New Hampshire, is a small town. The kind found on postcards. Their biggest concern is the rowdy summertime revelers making their way up from Massachusetts and New York. And with most of the town's residents in neighboring Ashland, for the Fourth of July fireworks show, Refuge is quieter than usual. That is, until the Baptist church's bell starts ringing - on its own. The bell chimes faster and faster, reaching a frenetic pace, as though rung by the Devil himself. But the bell is just the beginning.
