Story
The year is 1631. Charles d’Artagnan flees the ashes of his life in Gascony, seeking better opportunities in Paris. With his land seized by armed peasants and his family among the countless dead, he has nothing left to lose and little to gain beyond mere survival. Magic — once a useful tool for those rare individuals who still possess it — has become a weapon of incomparable power and destructiveness employed by France’s bitter rival, Spain.

Being the GearWitch means Phoenix McGee can bend time, save the day, or find your missing dog. Because cosmic powers don't pay the bills. Phoenix McGee became a detective to show the world he was mature, reliable, capable of running his own life and business. It’s just a shame he can’t adult his way out of a paper bag. On the verge of losing everything, he takes on a simple case of suspected adultery, something to keep the lights on and the creditors at bay. Little did he suspect his life would become a chaotic whirlwind of false leads, uneasy alliances, mob ties, and more.

Just After Sunset - call it dusk, call it twilight, it's a time when human intercourse takes on an unnatural cast, when nothing is quite as it appears, when the imagination begins to reach for shadows as they dissipate to darkness and living daylight can be scared right out of you. It's the perfect time for Stephen King.

Publisher's Summary
Enter a cruel palindrome world: a symmetric place where disturbing situations displace the common; where good acts transmute to evil ones; where windows and mirrors are interchangeable. Within, characters influence each other through macabre arrangements of involuntary happenstance, and learn the inevitabilities of coincidence. A segmented story of a mother and daughter intertwines the others. This hidden sixth story, assembled from the five separate narratives, uncovers the sad life of a child who carries a palindrome name, and her struggling teenage mother. With five stories heading one direction, and Hannah traveling the opposite, the story unfolds like a palindrome. A puzzle within a puzzle.

Very Complex interweaving tales.
Palindrome Hannah was written in a very interesting style, it is 5 separate storylines that interweave with eachother at points. The content can be a bit dark and bleak at times but it is all very interesting and entertaining. You definitely have to pay close attention and keep characters straight or you might miss something. I found myself confused at a couple points and had to go back and relisten to get myself back on track, so I wouldn't recommend listening to it at times where you are not giving it your full attention.
The narration was very well done and really added to the story.

Great batch of creepiness!
I received a free audiobook copy for an honest review.
I always hate coming across 5-star books that have only a few reviews. It's sad. On that note, I loved this audiobook! The stories were any combination of dark, creepy, and sad, all of them interesting. I always love reading or listening to a book that takes multiple short stories and, in the end, combines certain aspects; typically a character from one story will be present in another story. I had no issues keeping track of what was going on or who was talking. I was totally focused on this story, as in, even when it was time for bed, I didn't want to stop listening. I think the author did an amazing job with this batch and the narrator definitely added to it..
The narrator did a great job as well. I'd definitely listen to and read anything by either of these men.

Horrifyingly Thrilling
As always, I have to state that this book was given to me for free in exchange for a review.
I always like to state that this does not impact my review or my opinion of the book. My reviews are honest and my own opinion of the story, performance, and overall thoughts on the book.
I think this author did a fantastic job of showing how some of us experience life.
I really connected with this piece but I also felt that it had similar connections and styles as other novels I have read in the past. I still connected really well to the story and was hooked pretty much after the second part.
Having different parts of a novel is intriguing. I really enjoyed the play on palindromes. It was a bit of a story within a story.

I was very impressed with the unique way the book was presented. Telling five stories and interweaving them to make one overarching story. It was a different approach and was done to perfection. Puzzle Box in Book Form
Five intersecting bleak and dark stories are interwoven in this story, with a sixth that travels against the stream and each one is framed fantastically. Sure while listening to the first it's somewhat difficult to conceive of where the story will lead, by the time you reach the subsequent narratives they fit into the framework left by those previous. Each is sufficiently individual, yet each overlaps with one another in a well-constructed way. The characters don't suffer from the complicated structure, rather they're able to leave a greater impact given their orthogonal perspectives and the overlap, with the differences in their perspectives and motives playing in stark contrast with one another.
Narration is done well as well, considering the puzzle of a narrative, it might require some revisiting/re listening in order to stay up to speed with what's going on and where one is in the story. The narrator definitely holds his own however and aides in the delivery of a complicated story rather than hinders it.
I received the review code for this audiobook at my request and am voluntarily leaving this honest review. Definitely recommended.

Suspenseful Mix of Interwoven Stories
This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.
This was an interesting little suspense story with layers of interwoven characters and plots split into five parts. The story started a bit slow, in my opinion, as I couldn't seem to make sense of what was actually happening in the first of the short stories. I pushed through it, though, and I'm glad I did because the subsequent stories were much faster-paced and more exciting. Each story had its own unique plot, and they were all suspenseful in their own interesting ways. All the characters had unique and engaging perspectives, and Bailey can clearly write a wide range of perspectives. I also loved the way they all kind of came together at the end. After the first story, I was always interested to see what would come next and how it would fit into the puzzle.
The narration was okay. His range of voices was very limited, and he tended to fall flat during some of the most suspenseful parts. I would have loved more variation to really make the horror elements come to life.
Overall, I enjoyed this book, and I would be interested in Michael Bailey's other works. I would recommend this book to mature fans of suspense and horror.

Some memories never seem to go away.
This is a strange book, separate stories which move around each other, occasionally touching. This reader found it initially difficult to relax into, but this soon changed and the first section was reprised as the ending approached. All too soon: it could have continued for much longer.
Narrator Lawrence Alexander is superb, his soft, mix tonal voice reading with full recognition of the text and voicing any protagonist individually and with appropriateness. With good pacing, cadence and a lightness so well suited to the text, his is an excellent performance.
I was freely gifted a complimentary copy of Palindrome Hannah, at my request, by the rights holder, via Audiobook Boom. Thank you so much. Although I finally intrigued merely by the title, I soon discovered so much more to draw my attention to the diverse characters, briefly becoming involved in their lives, and wanting more. It was a book which not only brought me pleasure in the listening but also made me think. It is a book I know that I will revisit again in the future, something I only very rafely do, and it is a book I would be happy to recommend to all but the youngest of readers.

5 Amazing Stories For The Price Of 1
This is a book that is made up of 5 shorter stories that make up the final overall theme of the book.
You really need to pay attention because if you get distracted even for a little bit you will completely forget what had happened. You could miss a small detail that adds to the plot and you may find yourself like I did re-listening to the chapter before to refresh myself with the story. As far as stories go this is very suspenseful and had me always on my feet wanting to know more.
The characters are well written I really like how they are based on pretty much everyday people that you could know. The characters are very relatable and that is what makes a good story when for any reason you can relate to a character.
I have to say the narration by.....is perfect for this story and fits with the flow of the story its well spoken and crystal clear I even enjoyed the added voice work for other characters nice tit'sh his voice is made for thriller like this.
I loved how nothing was predictable I was always guessing and that makes a good story you don't want to predict everything that just becomes boring. You will leave this story questioning what's real and what's just your imagination.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for anyone who loves stories that the can relate to or someone who loves a good suspense keep you on your toes kind of book.
