Story
It’s not easy making the career jump from office-supplies-store middle manager to heroic interdimensional adventurer. At least, Jason tries to be heroic, but it's hard to be good when all your powers are evil. He’ll face off against cannibals, cultists, wizards, monsters...and that’s just on the first day. He’s going to need courage, he’s going to need wit, and he’s going to need some magic powers of his own. But first, he’s going to need pants.

A man. His ex-girlfriend's cat. A sadistic game show unlike anything in the universe: a dungeon crawl where survival depends on killing your prey in the most entertaining way possible. In a flash, every human-erected construction on Earth - from Buckingham Palace to the tiniest of sheds - collapses in a heap, sinking into the ground. The buildings and all the people inside have all been atomized and transformed into the dungeon: an 18-level labyrinth filled with traps, monsters, and loot.

This is another rock and rolling adventure. I love the ‘Easter egg’ comments. The characters are well developed and the magic system works well in the fantastical world.

rage skill? lame interaction with his town at end
I like this series well enough but the end just had me annoyed how he gave up his whole town and the interaction at the end of the town members. and I listen to so many books I may be wrong but didn't he have an op berserk skill in first book? what happened to that? ... ibalready purchased next in series. Hopefully it doesn't just seem run out. it feels like the author is just putting out 9 to 12 hour books to milk what he can vs puting out a good 23 to 30 hour book. idk maybe I'm just credit mongering. but I was kinda disappointed in this one. I still like the story so far and don't regret purchase just thought I'd put out my slightly negative opinion.

it's a great book with 1 problem
the only problem with this book for me was the narrator kept breathing through his mouth and the mic picked up every time he did. I wish they would have checked for this during editing.

This Could Use a Trigger Warning
I've generally liked the prior books, and this one is largely more of the same, but there's a development that involves mind-alteration and brutal character murder that I wasn't ready for. It almost ruined the book and series for me, along with the aftermath. It wasn't necessary and was overly gory/detailed for the rest of the book for me.

Moral Compass
I've enjoyed this series through out the first three books. Illumes overly moral and "good guy" personality drives me up a wall. Love the series and overall story line. I've listened to A LOT of litrpg and this is a good one, leveling makes sense, good progression overtime ext. "I can't use this item because it's to dangerous" like gtf over it dude.

This book went DARK. I'm disappointed.
what happen in this book was unnecessary and has to change the entire direction of the series for the worst. Also the narrater was sick for this one because you could here him take far to many deep breath as if his mouth is on the mic and there are quite a few times when he has to takes long deep breaths almost struggling at times to take them, but he is a good narrater the books prior this one where fine I cant recall him breathing is it.
