Caitlyn Sullivan had come from a long line of Hollywood royalty, stretching back to her Irish immigrant great-grandfather. At nine, she was already a star - yet still an innocent child who loved to play hide-and-seek with her cousins at the family home in Big Sur. It was during one of those games that she disappeared. Some may have considered her a pampered princess, but Cate was in fact a smart, scrappy fighter, and she managed to escape her abductors. Certain they're fated to find each other again, Laurie spends a year scanning every bus stop and cafe in London for him. But she doesn't find him, not when it matters anyway. Instead they "reunite" at a Christmas party, when her best friend, Sarah, giddily introduces her new boyfriend: the man from the bus.

Cara Snow is newly divorced, stuck working for a jerky boss at a pet boutique, and dreading her soon-to-be-empty nest with only her beloved corgi for company. Worse still, her ex just got engaged. Doesn’t she deserve some romance, too? Or, at least a date for the Fur Ball. She’s always enjoyed the annual pet rescue gala, but this year her ex will be there with his fiancée. Meanwhile, Cara hasn’t met anyone — other than the irresistible dogs at the boutique’s adoption events. Cara is shocked when her wish to fall for a man as easily as she does for those mutts summons Vincent. His velour track suit, paunchy belly, and tough-guy accent don't exactly fit her childhood image of a fairy godfather. Not exactly on top of his game, he admits to being twenty-five years late.

It was good.
Summer comes back to her home town after having her business fail in New York. She meets the new hardware store own who has experienced loss in his life. It is the story on how they fall in love.
It was and easy listen. It was nice a romance I like it. There was nothing special or memorable about it. I enjoyed it but in 2 days I will have forgotten about it. Narration was good. It is written in 3rd person, that could have be why I did not connect with characters as well I would have liked.

Sweet Story, Great Narration
This was my first Crystal Harper's book. This is the first book in The Pines Series. I loved this sweet love story. No angst, no cheating, no drama. Summer and Jake's story is perfect. The narration was well done. I enjoyed my listening. I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily written this review.

A Sweet Romance Worth Your Time
This story is a really sweet romance about two people finding themselves and each other along the way. The story is very well written and the characters nicely developed. There is some steam but it's kept clean. I enjoyed listening to this book from beginning to the end. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series, curious who it'll be about. The narration is spot on and Maxine Mitchell and Greg Tremblay helped to bring the story to life. Their character voices were excellent, the emotions felt real and they read at a nice pace. I would recommend this story to my romance friends. Definitely worth your time to listen to!

Peaceful Pines is a sweet love story set in a small town. Summer leaves New York when her yoga studio fails and she returns to her parents' home in Peaceful Pines to take a break. There she'll meet Jake, who is recovering from his best friend's death and they fall in love. A short, pleasant read with a happy ending. Two narrators make for a great audiobook.

cute heartwarming story
I enjoyed this story. Down and out city girl moves home. back to her childhood home. meets a local guy.
The heroine was weak in my opinion. She didnt want her H.S bf but couldn't tell him no. She floundered on her self pity way to much. woes is me. The move to Boston was a big deal but Author didnt show or give us her letting Trina down..
The narrators were amazing.

A beautiful peaceful story
This was my first story from the author and hopeful she will have more in audio.
Crystal in this story made the reader feel right at home , in a happy place . This story takes place in a small town where you feel right at home living and you want to end your days there . Everyone knows everyone, a neighbourhood coffee should , a grocery story where you know everyone by name
This story is about Summer the heroine and Jake the hero .
Summer and Jake were perfect for each other but something was stopping Summer from taking the happy step . The situation that Sumner was in as with some slight angsty. Something that always held her back but she did try to go past it.
Grab it and see how Sumner did it
Both Maxine Mitchell and Greg Tremblay were great telling the story . They did beyond a 5 star reading. They showed all the feelings the story had
