lost in translation

This is a re-write of the original Peaches Monroe story. I feel this 2nd attempt removed a lot of the funnier sexier parts of the original series.
Dalton lost that very sexy & sexual creature he was.
It's possible to clean up sex scenes w/o removing all the heat. ie JD Robbs Eve Dallas comes to mind or even Evanovich's Stephanie Plum.
a lot of the new scenes are good- the resort for instance. But I really miss Dalton's outlandish romantic gestures. Where's the wedding?

I liked it but did not love it.

For me to re-read any series is the utmost compliment to an author. I have been looking for this series under the pen name Mimi Strong for my 3rd read( listen) for a awhile so imagine my excitement at finding it again. Sadly I'm disappointed. I love Peaches.I can relate to a plus size , funny, hard working, sexy, sexual and confident woman. Many parts are there for Peaches but the rest of the cast not so much.Though new roomier is epic- love her.
Too sterilized Why?

Celebrity, Scandal, Secrets and Search for Self

Disclaimer: I received a free copy of the audiobook box set in exchange for an honest review.

This set contains books 6 through 9 in the Baker Street series, however you can jump into this series and enjoy it on its own. Characters and events from previous books are mentioned or make appearances but you will find everything you need to enjoy the story right here.

If you want to read the entire series in order I would start with The Baker Street Sweet Romantic Comedy Box Set: 5 Books first.

These are clean romantic comedies. They are all sex postive but always fades to black before the amorous activities begin.

These books are a continuous series of events including several time skips and there is a resolution for these characters as well as a few epilogues for heroines from previous stories.

Peaches is delightful, plus sized heroine full of wit, cheer, a couple of donuts and a love of books when a dashing celebrity Dalton runs into her bookstore and literally sweeps her off of her feet.

Dalton is immediately dropped into a small town where everyone is involved in everyone else’s business and a whirlwind romance occurs.

Peaches also has an on again, off again romance with an old high school sweetheart Adrienne who - along with both their families believes they are destined to be together..

Each of the characters in this love triangle as well as several side characters are fully realized with strengths, weaknesses, pasts and goals beyond the romantic entanglements.

These books were at turns hilarious, romantic, honest and in some ways inspiring. Characters change, make mistakes, learn and grow. Through all the ups and downs the tone remains relatively light and enjoyable.

If this is the finale to the Baker Street Romances then I leave satisfied. If there are any more - I look forward to them.

Tiffany Williams is always sensational. She performs more than narrates the books and brings voice to a cavalcade of new and returning characters - some with distinct accents. She is always enjoyable and continues her stellar performances here.

I recommend this to anyone who wants to read an enjoyable clean grown up rom com.

I like her books

This one got a little bit boring but then it picked back up. I understand there’s always boring parts in the book because you have to get through that to get to the good part. I love her she winds up with because you’re perfect. The story was totally worth reading all.

What's a girl to do when two guys try to be hers?

This box set revolves around Peaches (the name she goes by., not her given name) and her journey from bookseller with a much younger brother to model/comedian as she tries to find herself and learn what she really wants. When her high school boyfriend returs home, she considers what her life could be with him. When an actor hides out in her store, things get complicated.

The Baker Street gang make appearances in the books. Secrets are revealed, half siblings discovered all while Peaches tries to find out what she wants to be when she grows up and who she wants to be with.

The books have you guessing what her ultimate choice will be to the end if this box set. You meet Peaches in other Baker Street stories and having listened to them first helped me keep the characters straight. Peaches, like all the female characters in the books, uses humor as a coping mechanism but it also helps keep you guessing about the outcome.

The books are a fun read.

Great Read

Peaches Monroe's Diary - Complete Series: Romantic Comedy Box Set (Angela Pepper Box Sets and Bundles) was a good read by Angie Pepper. This box set consists of; Handful of Peaches, Whole Lotta Peaches, Everything Is Peaches, and Peaches on Top. Handful of Peaches (Peaches Monroe's Diary Book One) was a great read by Angie Pepper. Dalton Deangelo is a famous actor who goes into a bookstore to hide from the press. Peaches was running the bookstore and they instantly clicked. Dalton asked if he could escort Peaches to her cousins wedding since she didn't have a date. After that they found themselves in scandal after scandal. Whole Lotta Peaches was a good read by Angie Pepper. Peaches is trying to get back to her regular life after her escapades with a famous actor. It seems like the boy she was deeply in love with in high school, Adrian Stromquist, is shaking things up in her life again. Adrian is hard for her to resist. Everything is Peaches was a great read by Angie Pepper. Peaches is no longer just ordinary, she is a curvy underwear model featured in her own international campaign. Although this is going well in her life, her love life isn't going as planned. She does have Adrian who she is very connected to. Then there's Dalton Deangelo, a famous Hollywood actor who is interested in her. Peaches on Top was a great read by Angie Pepper. Peaches is shacked up in LA with Dalton Deangelo. Right now she knows that he is either the love of her life or her biggest mistake. She gets homesick but has found new things to keep her busy. She noes that she must return the car she "borrowed" and break up with Adrian for good. I enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read more by the author.

Nice listen

This four story book is interesting and entertaining. Peaches Monroe is the girl next door who caught the interests of two enticing men. Their story arc is captivating and enjoyable listen. The narrator did a good job with providing unique voices for each character and appropriate tone inflections for each scene. I sped up the audiobook to 1.7x to the speed in which I normally read books. I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

THIS GIRL HAS CHARACTER. RECOMMENDED SERIES

HANDFUL OF PEACHES
A girl called Peaches. I really liked this girl, her manner and attitude to life. There were some eyebrow raising moments, anticipation and budding relationships. Every girl needs a staunch supporter and peaches has one in her room mate and childhood friend. In particular there was a really big OMG moment which I cannot say more about- You will love it. The end of the story finishes with a lead into the next book, so I am looking forward to that being released. The narrator has a beautiful voice and is perfect for Peaches. Recommended
WHOLE LOTTA PEACHES
RECOMMENDED well written romance story.
I love peaches wit and mannerisms as she glides through both her job and life events.
I think you will like her and the journey too!
EVERYTHING IS PEACHES
Hmm.. the plot thickens in this story number three. You might say Peaches is in a personal pickle and the future is coming in fast to meet her. What is the solution I wonder? I found Peaches life entertaining, while challenging with her "land on your feet luck" failing she still managed to make her own decisions and not bow to expectations.
PEACHES ON TOP
Peaches has been a lovely story but boy does that girl love an adventure. First I enjoyed and bonded with her as a nice and entertaining girl with a strong character and go get it attitude in the first two books. Then she showed her supportive and caring side to her workmate and totally sucked me in. As book three and four progressed I really was swaying, hmm.. who to choose? Again there were tears of laughter and that only comes with clever writing. So l recommend this series to romance seekers who like a bit more to their stories. Oh and if you want more of this writers wit and cleverness try her "Wisteria Witches" series, they are my all time favorites.
