INCREDIBLE INSPIRING

Like drinking from a fire hydrant, this book encourages one to slowly ingest such a quarry of pertinent information.

Faulkner peers into and exposes some of the most prevalent obstacles that impede creative success!

I'm already a better writer because of this magnificent read!!

Lots of thoughts for writers

This is a book filled with clear thinking and valuable nuggets about writing. The author’s level headed thinking about the craft, why we do it and how we do it is a welcome encouragement for writers. The quotes and anecdotes alone are worth the listen.

Reassuring Mentorship in a book!!!

This was the most wonderful ‘pep talk’ I’ve ever received! I love this book! The talent of writing was shown by example completely. The author definitely understand A Write Life. I will read this in paperback and add it to my library. This is a MUST for writers of any kind. Enjoy!

Bad narration.

Too much dramatisation. People understand the text. No need to over express it in every sentence. it is tiring.
Besides that, great ideas for the practice of writing.

Pep Talks for Writers

Can't tell if its Grant Faulkner's writing or Greg Tremblay's voice, but this has got to be one of the best non-fictional informative books I have ever listened to, regardless of genre. In fact, I am currently going through my 3rd listen. Can't wait for it to end, so I can move on to the next book, but damn, the allure of this text is so captivating. Darn you Grant or Greg!

Inspiring

Listening to this during the day really helped my writer's block - I've been stuck for a while and unsure how to progress a story and feeling a bit deflated, but this really re-inspired me. There are so many lovely phrases and descriptions to get you pumped for writing, so much so it led to a 5 hour session for me that resulted in resolving the story issues I'd been having. It also made me want to continue and sparked ideas for others. I really do recommend it, even if you just have it on in the background. The way it's read is with such enthusiasm and positivity that it's hard not to be affected by it.

It does what it states

This is a Concise clear and a good guide for the writer in you. While there are many out there I find this one easier to follow then most. I feel my hand is being held as I listen and walk through with the chapters. It is as reassuring as it is clear.

great if your thinking of writing a novel

the chapters are really short and succinct. I guess each one is it's own pep talk. Not bad at all. some transferable tips too.

A big trove of knowledge and motivation

I found this book while going through a dip in motivation to finish my second manuscript. It held my hand and lifted me up all the way from beginning to end. A wonderful book and incredibly well-narrated.
