Publisher's Summary

In this second volume of the two-audiobook arc that began with Insurrection (audiobook five), Lucas braves all odds to free his friends and in the process spawns the only hope for the nation's future: a new resistance movement that will take the battle to its enemies and drive them from its shores.

The best post apocalypse story series

I’m a HUGE post apocalypse story reader. Being a long time horse person I wasn’t initially thrilled to have a horse as a supporting character... But the way this is written and woven and the intelligence and personality of the main character draws you into the story almost making you wish you were there with them and their no bullshit, not a lot of words and personal drama. It’s also quite funny when you get to hear what they are thinking when stuff goes down. I hope the author adds more books to this series because I will definitely purchase all of them!

in God we distrust

Ulysses and Elijah are typical and uninteresting bad guys, except for the anticipation of their final confrontation. Same with Snake. Magnus was far more interesting. The Illuminati is unnerving due to their truly unknown capabilities and willingness to inflict suffering from the shadows and unwillingness to confront their enemies face to face. Good luck good guys/Lucas.

good series!! great characters!

I really enjoyed the whole series. got a deal and bought the first four books with one credit. love Lucas the main character. gritty guy who gets the job done. bleak picture of our world after a virus kills millions or billions and the world goes to hell. enjoy!!
