Publisher's Summary

I've caught a raging case of bosshole.

Signing on as a company driver for Brandt Ideas felt like a dream. Big-girl salary. Stellar benefits. Glorious people - minus one.

Nicholas Brandt was put on Earth to drive me insane. Of course, he's my boss man. He spent the first month mistaking me for a dude. Then he “apologized” with the grace of a drunken moose.

A perfect grump with a brutal reputation. A heart-thief sculpted like a fallen angel. A master at making me question all of my life decisions.

Why is it always the terrible ones who make a girl tingle?

The longer I'm stuck with Satan in endless Chicago traffic, the faster he wears me down.

When he needs a “date” at this rich-people charity dance, I crack. I say yes. I kiss my incurable, broken, off-limits boss - and God help me, I like it.

I invite disasters fated to rip my heart out. And just when Nick Brandt can't cut my life into tinier confetti, the unthinkable does.

Guess who wants to save me. Now guess how much barbed wire I've got to keep Mr. Anti-Perfect in exile....

Grumpy Nicholas

Reese was hired to work as a driver for Brandt Ideas to chauffeur Beatrice, Ward and Nicholas at a very nice salary. For six weeks Nicholas did not know she was female (even though she is very small at five feet). He ran his mouth from when he got in the car until she dropped him off at his destination. He does not find out she is a woman until they are at an event and she is there with his family. Of course, Ward says something to him. Pretty funny scene. In hindsight, foot in mouth. Something happens in Reese's life and Nick is there to help her. Rock Engle and Heather Costa did a good job with the narration although Rock sounded a bit old for Ward.

Nick & Reece

I loved this story and the Brandt family. It was a love story of how Nick finally overcame his previous life and poor decisions and fell in love with their company's driver. This story is different with many twist and turns on the emotional jouney to happiness and love.

Nick and Reece

I absolutely loved the story between Nick and Reece. Nick trying to get away from his manwhore past relationships, and immature decisions and falling for his driver when he realizes he is actually a she. Their rocky start and the lengths he went to help her, her sister and neice through a very difficult situation to prove to Reece she can depend on him. Their sizzling attraction just adds to the story. The only negative which I'm sorry to say that took a star was the female narrator. Her voices were grating and rushed with the intimate scenes that took away from it. Almost robotic. Had they used someone else it would have been even more enjoyable.

Boring and too long.

This book was way to long and boring. The narrators voices were so bad. I will not listen to another book narrated by these two. The book it self maybe ok to read but it was to long for my liking. I skipped about 7 chapters and listened to the last 2.

I'm so confused..

Let me start off saying the synopsis is backwards. I went in thinking this was going to be a grumpy boss as it says but it isn't. The FMC is the one who is the total B. The narrator for her is awful too. Yeah, it started out w a small misunderstanding and the H tried hard to make it up to her for weeks and weeks & all she did was act ungrateful & put him down. I wanted to punch her in the face.

Cinderella chauffeur meets wealthy playboy beginning to reform

The story is ok- predictable but sweet- especially with the interaction with the niece. Unfortunately it needs to be edited badly- much too long. The narration is very poor. The female narrator Heather Costa has a male voice that sounds like a squawky duck. Rock Engle’s performance is smirky and doesn’t match the character and his female voice is often flat and sounds male. Only way thru is skimming the ebook. Not worth the sale price or a credit.

Perfect Grump

I really enjoyed listening to this book. This series kills me with the grumpy men and sunshine women they fall for.

This book is about Nick Brandt who is a playboy billionaire that has a past filled with reckless deeds and drama. Reese is the driver for Nicks company. Nick thinks that Reese is a man at first because she doesn’t wear comfortable clothes and never talks to him. During a work party he discovers that not only the “man” is actually a woman but she is also someone he shared some secrets with.

i really enjoyed listening to this book on Audible and would recommend it to anyone if you like the grumpy/sunshine trope.

Narrators are not good.

I liked the story ok but the narrators made me want to stop listening. The women just wasnt the correct character voice and she was just reading not emotion. I am struggling to finish but I already started so I am going to painfully finish. Please interview your narrators and maybe even listen to them read for a bit before letting them take a good book and destroy it.

Its a long haul

The book probably could have been cut by a good 200 pages. The female narrator sounded like she whispered through every chapter, and the fmc lacked any character growth. The final half of the book was good and picked up pace. Some parts moved too quickly - unrealistically quickly.

Let down by female narrator

The storyline was good and Rock did an awesome job of narrating Nick (and 4 year old Millie!) but it was let down by the too fast pace of the female narrator. I had to slow down the speed of the audio book to make it acceptable, which is a pity because the story itself was captivating.
