Publisher's Summary

These kisses of his...they're demanding and possessive. They're hungry and deep. They're the kisses of a man who wants more of a woman - who wants everything - and isn't going to stop until he gets it.

Author Olivia Rossi hasn’t been able to write a word since tragedy struck two years ago and ripped her world apart. Heartbroken and still haunted by the past, she accepts an offer to spend the summer at a friend’s apartment in Paris in search of healing and her lost muse.

What she finds instead is James, an enigmatic stranger who ignites in her an unexpected and all-consuming passion. Agreeing to tell each other nothing more than their first names, Olivia and James embark on a torrid affair. But the more time they spend together, the more Olivia begins to realize her summer fling is turning into a powerful connection…and that the magnetic man she’s falling in love with might not be what he seems at all.

Author's note: This is not a "traditional" romance. There is a happily ever after, but not in the way you will expect it. Go in blind and enjoy the roller coaster, or move on to something fluffier. This novel has sharp teeth...and bites.

BUCKLE UP! What a WILD emotional ride!

I just finished *Perfect Strangers*…. and I am SHOOK! Completely shook.
It’s 3:30am. I couldn’t stop once I started earlier in the day.
To say that my audible gasp and shriek of “Nooooo!” didn’t almost wake up the whole house when Olivia looked at that calendar, I’d be lying. The cat on my lap scattered, for sure. My palm covered my mouth in shock for a couple minutes. My whole world I had been living in the last 8ish hours began to spin. (And I wrote this part of this review before I listened to the epilogue! Ironic.)
The uncontrollable tears didn’t start until she was with the doctor and recounted the summer. From there, I was a mess—alllllll the way until the end! What an emotional ride.
If you use a credit, be prepared for tears at the end. Real, HARD tears. (And I’m NOT a crier!) I advise you to go for it, but only if you’re emotionally stable (lol) and ready. This book takes a 180° in a snap of a finger! Then a 90° reversal of sorts in the epilogue—maybe almost a 180° reversal? It’s WILD!!!!!!!!
“Here’s to day drinking!” Cheers!

No words

So I remember reading some of the reviews for this book and one of them said she wasn’t ok with a book that didn’t have an HEA, and others saying it has a happy ending, but not in the typical way you would think. I’m a little stumped and am wondering if I’m missing something important, because the way I see it, it definitely has an HEA, but it is definitely a mind fu@@ on all twists and turns it takes. I totally thought I had the plot pegged and started to prepare myself for the amount of tissues I was going to need, but nope I was totally wrong, and wrong again. So I definitely agree it’s best to go in blind and just enjoy the ride. I think the narrators did such an amazing job and even though I don’t really understand what I’m feeling about the book, I definitely recommend it for just the pure creativity the author gave. I don’t think I have ever read a book that knocked me through a loop so much and kept me guessing all the way through. The Epilogue is what got me, because at the end, you think that’s it, but another twist with that epilogue. Happy Reading!

Olivia and James

This book was an unexpected surprise and was so good. As the author states, this is not a "traditional" romance. There is a happily ever after, but not in the way you will expect it. Wow, that was so true. It was unique and not what I am used to from Ms. Geissinger. The uniqueness of this book made it really interesting although I got confused a couple of times. I loved the ending where everything becomes clear. Things are definitely not what they seem. Troy Duran, Veronica Pace and Marnye Young did a great job with the narration. Troy Duran was absolutely awesome!

Desert Island Book

This book is unlike anything I’ve read. It will mess with your mind and make you want to throw your tablet/e-reader/phone against the wall a couple of times. The narration is perfection (Troy could read a phonebook and make it sound sexy). It’s best to go in blind and don’t read too much about the book. It is a contemporary romance, written by a remarkable author. That’s all you need to know. Enjoy the ride.

The last hour and a half is cringe

The author should have stopped while they were ahead. So many unnecessary twists thrown in at the end for the sake of making the story longer. Turned a far fetched, but enjoyable, story into something ridiculous and depressing.

Do yourself a favor and stop listening at the lavender fields.

What the F happened in the last two hours

75% of the book was great then all of the sudden there was a random plot twist. It came out of nowhere and didn’t make any sense.

The characters reference Nicholas Sparks a lot and his book’s bittersweet endings. Not sure if that’s what the author was attempting to achieve but, in my opinion, it was a giant failure. The only thing the ending of this book accomplished was giving me whiplash. What happened to *real* James was a travesty.

Beautiful story. Beautiful narration.

“There is a field beyond all notions of right and wrong, I will meet you there.” -Rumi What can I say? Wonderful story by a favorite author. Can’t say enough about the performance of the narrators who are also favorites. Not an uncomplicated story, but beautiful, steamy, suspenseful, did I mention beautiful?

Not my cup of tea

The first half was great to me, angst, a bit dark, etc., but I wouldn't consider this a romance. I loved where I thought the story was going but I'm into stories of hope and redemption. Had I known what the story was really about I wouldn't have purchased it but that's just me.

beautiful.

What a very emotional book. I loved every minute of listening. I did at one point think of raging at the author, but thankfully carried on listening.
Also Troy can read me a story ANYTIME 😊

Disappointing

This is one of my favourite authors but I am afraid I felt let down on this occasion as she tried too hard and made the story far too complicated.

I loved that it was set in Paris and I loved the MCs; and their steamy romance.

The narration was perfect.

This book is in three parts and I loved the first part. There are lots of twists and turns, but it felt like it was written by three different authors.

Endings are always difficult but on this occasion, it left me feeling cheated.

incredibly good

I have read a few of this author's books but this book trumps them all. The story just lures you in and you can't help but fall in love with the main characters. the twist at the end of the novel had me gaping in shock and overwhelmed with emotion. Sometimes reality is not all it's cracked up to be

Too Ambitious

I started loving the story more and and when I was about a quarter through, but suddenly failed to keep up, especially towards the end, I am sorry JT, I think in the process of making the book different from books of the same title..it becomes too ambitious and lost the plot.

This story was enjoyable and twisty. The way the Chris character emphasises his words helped to form my opinion of him.

Loved it

Ok ok ok
They warned me about this book
The twists and turns that wrecked my head.

I fricken loved it. The narration was amazing! I loved that there were three of them. It made the story so much better I think.

Smut was fabulous
Storyline was amazing. I’m not going to say anything more because you need to go in blind.

Good luck team!

Not your usual romance story

It started out like your usual romance novel and so I was wondering what all the hype was about. Then the first twist happened and I wanted to stop reading BUT I kept going and I am so glad I did. What a great story! Awesome narration too.
