Publisher's Summary

You are about to learn how to stop taking bland, uncreative, amateurish photos on your expensive camera!

If you are like most beginner photographers, the reason you acquired your top of the range camera is because of the hope that you could take out of this world, professional looking photographs with your digital camera for posterity.

Unfortunately, what they show on camera ads is nothing close to what the average untrained beginner takes. While the typical ad shows users capturing magic moments on the fly while taking advantage of all the cool features in a standard digital camera to optimize photo composition, the typical beginner user takes boring photos that are either too exposed, blurred, boring, and uncreative.

Why is that so, you may ask?

The reason is simple; for the average untrained beginner, the typical DSLR camera is too advanced such that they can’t use any other function other than the automatic mode.

Obviously, you didn’t buy a fancy DSLR to point and shoot all the time. Sometimes you want to compose your photos professionally by leveraging the full power of your digital camera. You want to take photos exactly as you see them in your mind.

How then do you do that?

Let me show you how in this audiobook!

I will lay out everything for you to consume in easy lingo-free language!

Forget about enrolling for a photography course for now. Save your money; this audiobook is what you need to bring your A game in digital photography even if you’ve never been to a photography class. All you need is curiosity, passion for photography (which I assume you have since you have an expensive digital camera), and willingness to take action and experiment as you put what you learn here into action!

In it, you will learn:

  • How photography has come a long way since just so that you can appreciate the state of the art device that you have
  • How to put interest where you want and ultimately make your photos pop by leveraging the rule of thirds and creative framing
  • How something as mundane as symmetry can make your photos stand out and how to make the most of it in the most unlikely places/situations
  • How balance can be the one thing that may be standing in the way of making your photos to appear professional and how to make the most out of it
  • How to tell stories with your camera by taking advantage of horizontal, vertical, diagonal, and curved lines as well as angles and frames to your benefit
  • How to make the most of your camera’s cool features like to capture photos in ways you only see in photoshop
  • How to creatively capture more than just the moment but emotions
  • How to bring out your best shots by taking advantage of the concepts of exposure, aperture, ISO, and shutter speed to capture professional level photos
  • How to deal with any issues that might arise in your photography journey to capture captivating photos all the time
  • And much more!

By the end of this audiobook, you will be 10X better than you are!

Want to 10x your digital photography skills? Get your audiobook now to get started!

Absolutely terrible! Total waste of money

Like many other people have mentioned; this book is very poorly translated. It sucks! A lot of times the wording doesn't make any sense, so the concept gets lost. Plus this was meant to be a written book not an audiobook so the references to "see picture below" make no sense. It's terrible.

awefully written.

awefully written, the author uses verbiage well outside casual conversation making sentences hard to follow and often as the listener, you feel as though you are listen to the photographer version of Bones from the TV show.

Is this English?

I wish I had noticed the recurring theme in the bad reviews before I bought this book. I was hoping audible had a masterclass about photography as I launch into learning how to use my new mirrorless camera and try to advance beyond point and shoot mode. Since they do not I purchased this instead. I can't understand how this book ranked so well overall. After listening for about an hour, I've concluded this author must not speak English as a first language. Unfortunately, whoever translated the book into English did a terrible job. About halfway through the first chapter, which is entirely historical and a waste of time, I became very frustrated trying to follow along just what was being communicated. I hoped that if I skipped ahead to the crux of the education I would still get some value from my purchase, but the grammar is too difficult to follow for the book to be of any use.
Sadly, the narrator is of no assistance. He reads quickly and skips over natural pauses such as commas and periods. When you combine this with the essentially unintelligible English translation it just makes the reader even more frustrated. It did not help that every time he says photography it sounds like "fraught-ography."

Be prepared to learn history!

Could have been more about photography basics versus the history but I won't complain much more than that.

Very Poor for beginners

Too much high level chatter. Descriptions were too complicated and complex. Not at all satisfied

Language too distracting to continue

The audio of this book sounds like an unedited direct translation of a language other than English. Much like instructional text in cheap products manufactured in massive cheap-labor countries where English isn’t a familiar language.

history mixed in with a lesson

this book was very informative and I really appreciate the author's inclusion of the history of photography. I found that I was so interested in it I ended up doing more research and trying to mimic famous techniques with the techniques that were mentioned in this book. I do recommend for beginner to mid-level photographer or even for an advanced photographer who wants to sharpen up on the basics. even for someone who just wants to understand the history of photography and get a good grasp of how to use a cell phone camera to its full of stabilities would find something here.

Deceiving description.

In the description it raves about how simple and straight forward this book is. It is the opposite. This is about the history, creation, names and motives of who created cameras and the inner mechanisms of them. This is NOT a simple book about how to take better photos. Do not waste your money.

Translation to English fail. Visual: fail.

Badly translated into English. Nonsensical.

Also, book is meant to be looked at not just listened to.

Worst audio book purchase ever!

Poorly written

This book is poorly written, it is worded so badly that I wondered if it was originally written in another language and translated into English. The sentences are very long and packed with extra words that are not needed and seem to be added in to try and make it sound more intelligent than it needs to. The sample of the book is good and makes it sound great, but unfortunately the sample is nothing like the actual book. I suggest you don’t waste your money on buying this.
