Publisher's Summary

If you're looking for a step by step walkthrough on how to start a podcast with no previous experience, keep listening....

Although there’s never been a better time to get into podcasting, with all the contradicting and often false information scattered all over the internet, it’s no wonder why so many people struggle to find a starting point when there are so many conflicting views over the best equipment, what launch strategy should be used, even editing. It can even create the illusion that starting a podcast is a daunting, time-consuming process. You may be reluctant to commit to something you lack both knowledge and experience in or you’re worried that when you do make the leap there’ll be no one on the other side listening.

In Podcasting Made Simple, you’ll discover:

  • The X factor that leaves listeners craving their next fix of your content
  • The secret to creating an immersive parasocial relationship with your audience
  • Why many podcasters’ advertisement and promotion actually repels potential listeners
  • How to create a loveable personal brand through emotional familiarity
  • The simple, straight forward guide to recording and editing
  • Why over half of podcasts are given up on within six months
  • Formatting the perfect email that will get sponsors running your way, even with a low listenership
  • Unique ways to start attracting guests and become an authoritative figure
  • The single most important voice technique you can use to differentiate your show from competitors

This digestible guide is made for people with no experience so yes, this will work for you even if you’ve never spoken into a microphone and have no presence on social media. Even if there are thousands of podcasts similar to yours already published, and you have no marketing experience.

If you’re ready to start your podcasting journey the right way, you should listen to this audiobook.

Great guide for podcasting

I found this book to be really helpful. The information was clear and organized and delivered in a positive manner. And the author used examples which was wonderful! I am going to go back and listen to it again so I can start to take action. There were some items in the audio book that I was not clear on, I would have liked the author to deliver more explanation and provide even more examples. Despite that, this is the best overall guide on podcasting I have listened to so far. Thank you very much to the author, I am going to check out his website. The voice actor who read the book was great too! :-)

Stretching four pages of useful content into a book.

The author emphasizes over and over that the primary motivation to create podcasts is passion and not the desire to make a buck.
Yet the desire to make a buck seems to be the motivation for writing this book. The useful content could be distilled down to less than ten written pages. The rest seems to be filler and common sense lecture.

Fantastic insight and tips on starting a podcast

Podcasting Made Simple has step by step help to create a podcast that works for you. Tons of great tips to go from zero to podcaster in just days. This book really helped me get more clarity around my concepts and how to effectively bring it all to life. The author expands the normal "pick a genre" tips and gives simple cohesive advice. I also enjoyed the insight into why these tips are effective. Tons of super tangible and manageable action steps to move in the right direction with your podcast! Great listen.

Solid introduction into podcasting

Podcasting seems to be an ever-growing medium for people all over the world to consume content. The busier life gets, the more convenience we look for in how we spend our time. For experts in their field or people who want to just share what they know on a topic with the world at large, podcasting makes that easy on the content creator and the listener.

Even with how easy it is to get started, grab a mic, record your episode, and publish somewhere online, there is still a foundation level of knowledge to get you started the right way so you're not guessing your way through it. This audiobook outlines the foundation for you to get your podcast up and running in a matter of hours if you took action immediately. Maybe a few days if you order better equipment, but the author quickly dispels any necessity to have the best equipment to get started.

And if you're looking not only to share your message/content, and gain authority as a thought leader, but also to turn your podcast into a source of income, Chapter 10 gives you the basics on how to get that started as well.

All in all, a great audiobook on the subject for beginners and a good narrator to keep you interested in listening more.
