Publisher's Summary

You are about to discover how the little known vagus nerve may be holding the keys to a life free from many of the health problems you struggle!

Within you is a complex, little known, superhighway running from the top of your head to the tips of your toes, where lots of information passes through constantly to and from the different organs and organ systems in between to and from the brain! This highway is the vagus nerve. Anything that disrupts the flow of information throughout this "highway" poses a danger to the connected organs and organ systems in between.

The effect of that disruption may manifest in the form of all manner of health problems, including inflammation, various addictions, obesity, epilepsy, migraines, chronic stress, anxiety, depression, rheumatoid diseases, and many others.

So, if you are experiencing these problems, it means something is wrong with your vagus nerve. Taking all manner of medication may help alleviate the symptoms, but this does not treat the problem from its source, which essentially means you will end up with more problems like dependence on medication to "mask" the symptoms.

Why would you want to sentence yourself to a life of constantly taking medication for these and other problems when you can optimize the health and functioning of your vagus nerve to neutralize all of them naturally?

By virtue that you are reading this, it is clear you are looking for a natural reliable solution to your problems. And lucky for you, this audiobook will show you exactly how to take advantage of your vagus nerve to optimize your physical and mental health.

Everything is broken down in an easy-to-follow, beginner-friendly, “non-science” language to help you follow and take immediate action!

In this audiobook, you will learn:

  • The basics about the vagus nerve, including what it is, its structure, its location, the organs and organ systems connected to the vagus nerve, the vagus nerve efferent, vagal networks, and much more
  • The pneumogastric nerve and its role in depression
  • The link between inflammation, stress, depression and the vagus nerve, including why that should matter in your journey to better health
  • The scientific link between the vagus nerve and your health
  • Simple modalities for stimulating and treating the vagus nerve (VNS) using clinical and natural methods
  • Possible dangers of vagus nerve stimulation, including how to stay safe throughout the process
  • The most effective method to stimulate the vagus nerve
  • Ways to use vagus nerve yoga practice for optimal health
  • Steps to massage your stomach correctly to stimulate your vagus nerve for optimal health
  • Some secret techniques and exercises that will tone your vagus nerve to restore health
  • Ways to meditate your way to an optimally functioning vagus nerve
  • And much more!

If you are tired of struggling with inflammation, various addictions, obesity, epilepsy, migraines, chronic stress, anxiety, depression, rheumatoid diseases, and many others, your struggles end now. And just so you know, everything is backed by science. There is even a field in medicine focusing entirely on vagus nerve stimulation for health.

it's not a self-guide!

i bought this audiobook as my coach mentioned that i could using exercises for the polyvagal nerve but she didn't have amy books to recommend for those who didn't study psychology. i did some research and the book with "self-help guide" subtitle sounded innocent enough.
Spoiler alert: I'm going to summarize the essence of the book!!!! the audiobook has 7 chapters. in the first 3 chapters the author introduces the subject and then thoroughly cites many studies of polyvagal nerve. from the 4th and 5th chapter I've learnt that breathing, mindfulness ang yoga exercises have positive influence related to the nerve. in chapter 7 the author summarizes it all: just breathe. throughout the entire audiobook there is one specific reference to actual exercise "deep breathing stomach myscle relaxation" that may cause unease in the customers so the author advises to do test of one breath before teaching the customer how to relax stomach muscles.
to be honest: i feel my time would be spent better reading a google article on vagus nerve and getting an audiobook on breathing exercises.
having said that: there is definitely value in combinibg the cited reasearch, hence 2/5 and not 1.

Really?

This is an absolute disgrace. Please- I apologize for contributing to wasting your time not to mention offending you but, DO, read for yourself and comment truthfully! It’s the quaint essential pseudo-intellectual babel nonsense that’s clogging up our federally funded Universities- such a let down! I thought it was going to be interesting and useful…….. HUGE waste of time. Sorry again if you read this based on my review. Such nonsense surrounding an actual meaningful and important topic.

Would be better with proper voice

Really looked forward to listening to this but very disappointed with the narrator. Sounds suspiciously like a programme voice rather than a natural narrator. Gave up after 20mins

such poor narration that it is hard to follow.

The first narrator was so poor I stopped listening as I could not follow the thread of the authors story / writing. it sounded like words were just being said with no understanding of the material by the narrator and no understanding of how to connect the different words to make sense.
