Actually learning PowerShell

I took this course to build on the skills taught in the advanced course. I learned much in both courses. Information is presented in lectures with examples and then you are given the opportunity to apply what you have learned through challenging assignments.
The instructor taking your PowerShell game to the next level is going to help you out because PowerShell is going to become easier for you to use. I was very pleased with this course and have been applying it at work already.
This audio book is worth taking.

Look at me!! I am coding

This is one of the best powershell courses in terms of quality of the product material as well as simplicity of the delivery the knowledge by Zach. At the beginning I had some time to adapt myself to his accent, but within few lectures used it and now do not even listen it as I am fully focused on knowledges.

What can one say?

If you like me, you would expect, that you can just start reusing your existing knowledge that you've gained during your programming career and easily transfer it to PowerShell environment. Unfortunately, it would not be possible.

PowerShell has tons of features and tons of hard to understand from the first glance and some times even after second one design decisions.

For instance, would you expect that function could return null, scalar value or collection based on the number of returned elements? This is actually one of the main features of PowerShell and you should clearly understand this. This usually doesn't matter unless you'll try to send such kind of object to .NET API.
Or, can you expect that collection equality means ... filtering? This is true as well and 1..10 -eq 4 will return 4, not true of false. So if you'll try to use this in the if statement that you could unexpected results.

Ok, PowerShell is weird but what about this book? The book itself is perfect.

The wave of the future. Learn it now.

Taking this course you will get a lot of insight not only to PowerShell but to some Windows concepts(WMI, Eventlog, ...) in general.

If you are not familiar with PowerShell at all or, like I, have done some self study already, you will definitively know a lot more after this course.

I really liked the examples and PDF.

Game changer

Very good, explains things in a way that I can understand despite having no previous knowledge. I already feel more confident that this is something I can learn and utilise. My only negative so far is that I struggle with the narrators strong accent, but easily fixed by rewinding and listening carefully on anything I've missed.

PowerShell Programing

My overall experience with Bahl, via this course, was exceptional. It was a little difficult to understand him at first, however, as the course progressed I got used to his accent. I guess his wit had something to do with it. The course is very engaging and thought provoking and I will highly recommend it to others considering furthering their knowledge and skills in PowerShell.

Powershell or Do you want fries with that...

Already did a few basic powershell commands, but wanted a better understanding of how to go from beginner to advanced. Zach's audio version book really helped me with that and I'll continue to apply everything I learned to my scripts going forward! I especially enjoyed how to use the advanced version of Pester parts of this course.

Not Puzzled AnyMore

William bahl is clearly a genius at what he does, and as long as you can adapt your ear to his accent and practice scripting like he tells you to, you're going to learn a lot form this course. After learning these concepts, I was able to apply them almost immediately to my daily work routines. I've never had such a quick turnaround from a course to real-world applicability. This was fantastic.

A must have for a PowerShell Guru.

I was fairly comfortable with Powershell already as I have been studying and using it for a while. However, at my halfway point through this course, I have definitely become more comfortable with some new concepts. It has also been a good refresher for concepts I have not practiced in a while.

Coding as a language.

Great course. After almost every lesson you have assessment for which you have to really think about it, so it is a very good for learning.
Also, course is fast so it is not boring. You have to pause or rerun the lesson again which is also great advantage for me - there is no repetition and speaking just to make longer lessons/course.

This is for me the best course so far on this platform.

An essential tool

Taking this Audiobook you will get a lot of insight not only to PowerShell but to some Windows concepts(WMI, Eventlog, ...) in general.
If you are not familiar with PowerShell at all or, like I, have done some self study already, you will definitively know a lot more after this course.
Sometimes I found it a little boring to read and waiting for Bahl to complete it. In this case you can always fast forward so that is not a big deal.
I really liked the examples and assignments.
