Made me realize my mistakes as a parent

Parents make mistakes in raising their children, and that is what I realized when I was listening to this. Luckily, it also taught me that these mistakes can be fixed, and it is never too late to show your child that they can grow in a supportive and loving environment.

This book is so informative, and I am looking forward to the changes I am about to employ in raising my boys. Listening to this made me realize how I was raised differently, and what things in my childhood I will not do to my children. I am really glad I bought this audiobook. This is wonderful.

Improved my relationship with my daughter

First of all, I would like to commend the narration. It is just wonderful to listen to. I love the way it is written, and the information is very relatable and effective. The pointers and suggestions are helping me with raising my three-year-old daughter.

This audiobook is a must-have, especially for single parents like me who are struggling to discipline their children. I love the emphasis on communication with the child, and how to discipline them without looking like a total monster in their eyes. This is a really helpful book. Thank you very much, Hannah!

Communication is key

My daughter has issues with delayed speech, so she gets frustrated when she finds it hard to deliver what she wants to say and express. Luckily, this audiobook helped me understand my child even more and gave me a glimpse of the situation from her perspective. I love that the contents don’t come off as preachy and condescending, just like how most parenting books go. The author did a wonderful job in this book, and I am glad I purchased it.

I am enjoying and learning a lot from this book

I am now a grandmother, and with young children around the house, this audiobook helps me and my daughter to deal with the little ones. I love how the contents of the book are realistic, and how it is written in a friendly way that people will like. The strategies are well-explained, and most of the suggestions are working for our little girls at home.

It is more than just a guidebook for practical parenthood. It is also an eye-opener for parents to communicate with their kids more, and to understand that these little ones have feelings and thoughts that need to be acknowledged.

If you are raising a toddler, this is the audiobook you must have. I am a mother of a very energetic three-year-old girl, and I have a lot of issues in communicating and disciplining her. But this book has a lot of information and techniques that will help parents in dealing with little ones. The stories and conversations are relatable and fun, which makes it more immersive and the tips easier to employ in raising the children. A total must-have for young parents.

Not preachy

I don’t really like parenting books because the content just sounds so condescending and judgmental. Some authors even write it in a preachy way, and I don’t appreciate that. But with this audiobook, it’s different. It is written in a friendly and engaging way, so you won’t feel intimidated. I love the wealth of information in this book, and the scenarios, conversations, and situations are relatable. This audiobook is simple, informative, and very encouraging.

Wonderful but writing style's a bit cringey

The audiobook has undeniably great content. It has good tips and gives you great insight and a fresh perspective on child-rearing. I only have issues with the writing style, because some parts are making me cringe every time I listen to them. I know a lot of people will say that it’s relatable, but to me, it seems a little fake.

But, anyway, that’s just me. And like I said, it has good content. The book isn’t awful, and it’s informative. This will help a lot of parents out there. Great job.

The tips and techniques really work, amazing

I am a mother of two girls and with one boy on the way. I decided to check out this audiobook because I know things are going to be even more chaotic when our new baby arrives. I have been checking out the tips and pointers and I must say that they are working on my two little girls.

My husband is listening to the audiobook now that I am done, and I am encouraging him to employ the techniques from the book. Thank you, Ms. Brooks, for this wonderful work!

Very relatable but a little repetitive

Most of the tips inside the audiobook are the same stuff I see in other parenting books, which is why I feel like it is a little repetitive. But anyway, this book is still great. The examples and scenarios used here are very relatable and easy to imagine, which helps explain the information better. While most of these tips will not work on all children, it at least gives you a place to start so that you will know what to do in a specific situation. The knowledge and the insight from the audiobook give you the feeling that you will be able to control the situation. And it's a great listen.

Child educators, this is a must-have

It is great that this audiobook is filled with real-world examples and practical tips on how to deal with little ones. The book helps the adults understand that a child’s development should be taken seriously and that every child’s thoughts and emotions are valid and should be respected. The audiobook is written in a very friendly and engaging way; that’s why I don’t feel intimidated while listening to it. The author did a great job of giving out information in an appealing tone that encourages the reader to finish the whole book to the very end.

Excellent book on parenthood

This is such a helpful guide on positive parenting, and on how we can raise our children in a wonderful, supportive, and loving environment. The author did a great job in presenting details on how to become more hands-on and positive towards parenting. This book wonderfully emphasized the children’s need to feel understood, loved, and respected.

The examples that are given with every technique or tip are also really relatable, and make you think of a couple of moments or scenarios that happened in your life as a parent. I would recommend this to other parents who are struggling to discipline their kids or build strong relationships with them. This book is wonderful, Hannah.

Not into narration, but content is nice

Maybe it’s just me, but I was just not into the voice and I found it a little boring but pushing through that was worth it. There are a lot of pointers that I found to be very effective and make sense, and I am trying to use it in interactions with my four-year-old boy, It does a remarkable job in showing that it is really important to understand your child. A strong bond and an understanding between parents and children is an essential tool for successful parenting, and these are things I am trying to establish with my child with the help of this audiobook. All in all, a great listen.

I like the content, but so much talking's boring

There are tons of information that you could get from the audiobook, especially for parents who are raising young children or for those who are interested in childcare. It is filled with lots of pointers on what is best to do in dealing with children and how one can be more practical when it comes to raising these little humans.

But while there’s a lot of info in it, there are also these unnecessary parts. I don’t know, maybe it’s just me but I found some parts boring. Sometimes I just let the boring parts go in one ear and out the other. But all in all, it’s a good book, and there’s a lot you can learn from it.
