Publisher's Summary

The quality of our lives is determined by the quality of our thinking.

And the quality of our thinking is often determined by the quality questions that we ask ourselves. Critical thinking is the art of asking relevant, necessary, and meaningful questions to discover the objective truth behind words, events, and views in general.

We now have more access to data than ever before. Information often influences our views of the world and decisions without us noticing it. Following wrong idols can lead us to bad decisions that lead to unhappiness and a life of dissatisfaction. When what is "right, beautiful, successful, and cool" is dictated around us, we often forget to think for ourselves and make our own choices. So we make bad decisions based on the opinion of others - not even our own.

Who should make choices about your life for you? You put off your own thoughts, wishes, and opinions for too long. It is time to change that.

Problem Solving Techniques gives you unique insights into the nature of thinking and reasoning - why are we so often wrong, why are we so inclined to avoid the responsibility of thinking for ourselves, and how can we develop solid, objective patterns of thinking.

This audiobook is a guide for people who are notoriously "trustful", "overwhelmed", and "gullible". It is a deep psychological dive into what makes us stop thinking for ourselves, and how to systematically combat these compulsions.

It is an audiobook that stands apart from others because of the abundance of real-life examples, studies, and solutions. If you want to add to your critical thinking toolkit, you'll find the step-by-step answer here.

The most secure way to make good decisions is to have well-practiced and predictable strategies that you can use when you are faced with a problem that requires deeper analysis.

This audiobook will provide you with helpful exercises and tips to help you can find better solutions to your problems.

Great insightful into problem solving

I recently was promoted to a position that requires quick decision making. In a leadership role, I need to make sure my decision making and problem solving abilities are sharp. I noticed in my new position how out of practice I was in problem solving. This book gave me some insight into where I am and suggested actions I can take to become a better problem solver. After reading the book, I will practice their suggestions and see where I end up.
Great book.

Warning. May cause drowsiness.

This could have been a good book if it were not for the narrator. At one point I was waiting for him to start repeating “Bueller, Bueller”. Seriously, he needs to find another profession.

Full of meaningless statements

Very shallow for a broad subject.
Definitely wouldn't call it scientific. Especially not recommended for readers without knowledge of basic logic or rhetoric foundation. Might flatten the vision.
