The basic guide to understand PM
This is a book of which you will look into for you want to understand the BASICS of project management. This is not for someone who is looking to study for the PMP certification test. But this book has a incredible quality into it, because in order for you to learn to run you must learn walk right? I suggest who ever is looking into studying about project management start with this book before you dive into the PMBOK. Because this book will teach you the basics and to understand what the PMBOK guide will provide but in technical terms. Overall I’m very happy with my money spend on this book. I heard it 2 times and now I am moving to the PMBOK with very clear understanding of PM basics. I am a project management graduate student so I can validate that this book has excellent quality, if used for the right purposes which is to understand the BASICS of PM thus making it so much easier understanding the official guide. I hope this review helps :)

Simply great info on project management
This is an excellent book on project management. I have been working with project management for many years and I did not have high expectations for this “…for dummies” listen, but I was very positively surprised.
The UK version I listened to is very well narrated. The book is well organized and full of good explanations from anything on how to start a project till how to end it - and everything in between. Each chapter is in its right, timed place, again very well explained and exemplified. Many ideas on what to keep in mind when this or that happens.
If there is one book to read on project management, I would recommend this overview book. From this book as a primer it is easy to find and understand information on project management generally.

Good content, but no graphs or accompanying pdf
The content is interesting and well done. Probably better as a paper book, than an audiobook.
The chapters would benefit from being labelled in the app with their titles.
In addition, there are a lot of references to graphs, images, or spreadsheets. But these are not included with the audiobook. So it reduces the value and the understanding of the book.
The audiobook version of this is less worthwhile than the actual book.

Excellent survey of the Project Management Process
This audiobook is a very well-structured, detailed and thorough guide to the subject of project management.
Whilst not alluding to any particular methodology it is very clear from the outset that a lot of detailed work has gone into creating this book and it is packed full of helpful tips and best practice that we can all learn from irrespective of experience.
Narration was very good too. Never condescending, always clear and upbeat and this made for a very enjoyable listen, particularly whilst driving to work.
Highly recommended indeed!

Not a proper ‘for dummies’ book.
I bought this to refresh the basics and scope content for some Junior PM’s I oversee - but this is not a book ‘for dummies’.
There is significant assumed knowledge, very little about project management principles, and it clearly fits the mould of PM Coaching for mid level Project Managers.
I would be harsher on the review if the content was not useful, and the presentation clear.
