Publisher's Summary

I’m not going to fall for a spoiled price.

Prince Ryden is as hot as he is off limits. I have no intention of sleeping with a client, especially not a royal client.

He’s got the weight of an entire kingdom on his shoulders, and he deserves to let loose for a bit. Maybe, I can show him a thing or two.

It can never be more than a fling.

A guy like Ryden wouldn’t want me forever anyway. His family will never approve.

My only job was to keep him safe. But now that I know how amazing he is, I want to keep him close for good.

---

Falling for my bodyguard would be a disaster. As prince of Cosandria, I have a duty to marry and produce heirs.
My bodyguard can never be my boyfriend.

But what about a fling?

I’ve never done anything with a guy before, no matter how much I’ve wanted to. When it comes to Ajax, I can’t resist.

He’s here to keep me safe, but it’s my heart that’s in danger. How can I keep him when I have a duty to my country?

And even if I find a way to come out, will he want to stay?

Protecting the Prince is a 70,000-word bodyguard/prince romance featuring an irreverent and protective bodyguard and the nerdy and spoiled prince he needs to keep safe.

Ryden and Ajax

Ryden, the prince and heir of Cosandria. Ajax is hired on to be his bodyguard, after Ryden’s last bodyguard quit not wanting to deal with Ryden and his pranks. They first met in the bookstore where Ryden works unbeknown to Ajax. When they meet again at Ajax’s first meeting with Ryden’s parents, he’s blown away that the prince was the young man at the bookstore. There’s no lack in adventure and action as the story kept me wanting to listen more than work lol. I highly recommend this series. Austin Jay did a great job narrating.

Prince & His Bodyguard

When Ajax is hired to protect Prince Ryden, neither one could have expected what it turned into. Their attraction and chemistry are incredible right from the start but when a Prince is expected to not only marry royalty but also a woman, what could they possibly do. Well fate definitely has other plans for them andI really enjoyed following their journey and how everything played out for them. Ajax is incredibly patient and understanding and I’m glad how Ryden finally came through. The narrator did a good job with the story and the characters. Pretty great book!

I absolutely adored these two characters! The Ryden being a different kind of prince and going for what he wanted NOT what was expected of him. And that Jax saw it that way too! Great read, narration was awesome! Definitely recommend.

Overall a good time!

So what could an out and proud body guard and a deep in the closet prince possibly have in common? Turns out a lot and Ajax is just the right person to reach Prince Ryden about himself. So can royalty have a HEA? This narrator and the incredible writing team of Austin and Ali have another slam dunk!

Sweet and low angst

Ryden and Ajax meet when Ajax is assigned asPrince Ryden’s bodyguard while he studies in the US. The attraction between the two is palpable but Ajax can’t act on it because it’s his job, and Ryden daren’t act on it because his family don’t know he’s gay and as the heir to the throne of his country he can’t risk being seen with another man when he’s not out. The romance between the two is sweet - unbelievable, but sweet.

Story and narration combined made this enjoyable

Ryden is a a spoiled prince. He understands the need for bodyguards but that doesn’t mean he likes the way his life is playing out. The new man may change his mind though.

Ajax is a bodyguard. He likes his job for the most part. Spoiled princes are a bit out of his field house but his respect for his job means he’ll do his job and do it well.

First I liked the story. In their own way both men come across as immature but lovable. Their chemistry is well done.

Secondly, I liked the narrator, although at times I couldn’t differentiate between the characters.

Overall I enjoyed the story and the narration.

Perfect combination!

This book totally combines two favorites: bodyguards and princes. The story follows Prince Ryden and his new bodyguard Ajax. Ryden is closeted and is expected to take the throne next and produce heirs. There is an instant attraction between Ryden and Ajax, although Ajax puts up a good fight about keeping things professional between the two. But when he gives in? Holy buckets, get ready for some good smexy times. Ajax seemed a little one-dimensional to me until the point where the two of them got together. After that, I liked him more as a character than I did in the first half. Throw in a bitter family history and a kidnapping, and you’ve got a great read overall. Narration wasn’t terrible, although I did need to speed it up a little bit. The narrator did a decent job, although would not have been what I would have picked for the book. Definitely worth a credit!

It was okay

I’ve listened to better to be honest by these two authors. I would give it another chance with a different narrator.

Great new series

The subtitle for this series is accurate. Here we have the conflict, at least initially, between duty to one's job and one's country in conflict with the desire Prince Ryden and his bodyguard Ajax have for each other. Both want to do the right thing and the joy here is watching the authors plot out how to let them accomplish that as a couple. The suspense/mystery plot is exciting, the heat between our two MCs is palpable, and as always, Austin Jay gives an excellent performance which beautifully captures the teasing nature of the relationship with its serious undertones.

Great addition

Another great addition to a series by Aiden Bates and Ali Lyda. Ajax and Ryden where interesting characters and it was enjoyable spending time with them in the audio world. Austin Jay did a wonderful job with the narration.

An interesting, if a little predictable, romance

Though the Titan Bodyguards series isn't my favorite by these authors, I still enjoyed listening to Ryden and Ajax's romance. I was initially worried that Ryden would be a stubborn, snooty royal, but he was actually kind and very down-to-earth. I can see exactly why it was so hard for Ajax to resist his charm, though he did put up a good effort. It was immediately obvious that these men were attracted to each other, but their romance was much less steamy than I thought it would be. I actually loved how much of a focus there was on the emotional connection the two of them built, because it made their relationship feel like more than a secret string of hookups. I can't say that I found the "revenge" plotline very surprising--maybe I've read too many suspense romances because I knew almost immediately who the bad guy was going to end up being. I still thought it was interesting to see how Ryden and Ajax got themselves out of a tricky situation, and their reunion was pretty cute. All in all, I can't say that this was a particularly spectacular romance, but it was pretty solid with a satisfying happily-ever-after. Austin Jay did an excellent job of narrating these men and I have no complaints about the quality of his performance.

The bodyguard’s prince!

Ajax is assigned to guarding the Prince. Rylan is a college student in the US, a foreign country so he goes a any other student. They such good chemistry, both trying to act as if nothing happens until they give in to it. There’s a little mayhem, that brings the Prince back to his country. I enjoyed this story and it’s a great and to the series. Good narration too.

Protecting the Prince

A good quick listen. To me, the bodyguard/prince troupe was secondary to the suspense part of the story. The narrator was decent. Overall, I enjoyed the listen and story.

A royal romance!

I enjoy a lot royal's stories, and one written by Ali Lyda and Aiden Bates was surely a must for me. The book has wonderful characters, a complex plot, with action and danger and a more dangerous relationship of all: a prince and his bodyguard. I loved all the banter and the romance parts and the interesting situations happening throughout the story. Mr Jay caught perfectly the essence of the story, from the way the characters interact to the intense emotional parts, Great performance, skillfully managed by a very talented actor. A great narration!

Incredible

I really enjoyed this one, the characters were so fantastically written that I became invested in both the story and their relationship. I would have loved more of them only because I loved them so much but the story flowed really well and the narration was brilliant.
