Useless

Everything discussed here I learned in school. It's a weak summary of basic reading principles.

Become a speed reader--quick.

Although I consider myself to be a pretty fast reader, I learned quite a few things from this great audiobook. This book will teach you that to read faster and retain more, all it takes is a little practice. For maximum reading comprehension and speed, it’s important that you have a goal. Also, try skimming and grouping words. This audiobook contains that and many more useful practical tips. I highly recommend this well-written guide to anyone who wants to be an effective speed reader.

Don't Buy

John R. Torrance is a fraud, he copied everything from Kam Knight's book Speed Reading: Learn to Read a 200+ Page Book in 1 Hour, even the title! He replaced 200 with 300.

Also, all the reviews posted here are fake! You can tell because they all posted reviews of the same books.

Buy books from legitimate authors.

Waste of Credit

The title makes a bold promose but the content fell on it's face. It recites other works, its more or less a collection of articles, rather than a legitimate book

Very enjoyable audiobook

Enjoyable audio book by someone who evidently spent years in the field of speed reading and talks with great interest and more importantly logic about the art and science of speed reading. He has wonderful passages to test speed and talks in detail about listening for comprehension using the amazing ability of the brain to conceptualize.

Great audiobook!

it’s a very provocative audiobook. From listening to the first few chapters, I can tell this is going to be a great book. I've already got some great advice on breaking habits, purpose, preview, and changing pace. I can't wait to see what's more in store and how further I can speed up my reading.
