False/outdated information.

False and outdated information regarding Psychedelic mushrooms as well as only a brief mention of the subject.
More information on wild edible species which was nice, but revealed the title of the book as misleading. Disappointed to say the least.
Perhaps they should change the title or flag it.

Misleading Title

although there is some interesting information about medicinal mushrooms, it did not touch on magic mushrooms til the 8th and last chapter and only covered potential addiction issues. I regret buying this book and felt it was a waste of time and money. Not sure what other reviewers were reading.

Dissapointed

Well, the book title is Psychedelic mushrooms, and had just 1 chapter barely talking about psilocybin mushrooms. There are a couple of lines that get repeated over and over again... it wasn’t a definite waste of time, I learned basically about medicinal mushrooms such as cordyceps and shiitake.

Horrible book

Not sure why it’s called Psilocybin. Most of the information is about other mushrooms except psilocybin. Very repetitive. The only information about psilocybin is negative. With words like “bad trip” and “flashbacks” this book gives poor representation of “magic mushrooms. This is written from the perspective of the collective medicine. Horrible book.

Here’s the problem... read before you buy

Yes this is a good book on overall health and the latest researches. But it’s hardly covers “Magic” mushrooms and they mainly cover regular edible mushrooms. This is all information you can find on articles on the net. They hardly cite any sources either, which is kind of like “is this dude giving his opinion or does he have data to back it?”

Glad the audio book is so helpful

Excellent audio book full of great information. I am better off by having this book and might imagine that if I internalize most of this information, I might become a psychologist. I am grateful I have this audio book and aspire to put this knowledge to use.

A mostly negative and repetitive p.o.v.

The first seven chapter's were about mushrooms in general with last chapter covering psilocybin.
