Phenomenal book

So I will just comment on what I don't like.

I don't like that psychics and remote viewers assume that any desire for wealth and financial security is cold hearted capitalism and greed. Calm your communist heart down. It's clear that Ingo never went through a period in his life without food. I grew up in the bottom 20% of the United States and ate nothing but instant noodles and white bread for three whole years of my youth. We went through some severely trying times that physiologically damaged my body in ways I am still recovering from. I'm now in the top 1%. I have nice things, but the nicest thing I have is the safety and security of my life, my family's lives, and our future together. It's easy to talk ill of the pursuit of wealth, when you've always had it and take it for granted. I've now been wealthy for almost a decade and I still walk into Costco like a little kid, as I know I have no budget, and most of all, no fear. And unlike Ingo may suggest, I did not obtain my wealth through capitalistic greed. I obtained it by working 7 days a week, 12 hours a day, for years and years in my 20s. I obtained it by not only focusing on other people's problems, but finding joy and fulfillment in doing so, as I know the work I do genuinely benefits everyone it touches. That's a reward in and of itself.

And then there's the flipside... that he has an entire chapter on making money from psi... as well as negative views of communism in Soviet Russia. He's all over the place with these views.

That said, the psychic info in here is great, I just wish he kept his personal anecdotes about his unappreciation for things some people don't get to take for granted to himself.

The best book onthe subject

I've read hundreds of books on this subject. None of them even come close to the level of detail and sophistication that Ingo delivers here. This was the best documented psychic on the scientific record and this is by far the best book on the subject. Begin here and you will not be disappointed.

DO NOT HESITATE ON GETTING THIS BOOK! A MUST READ!

AN ABSOLUTE MUST READ!! This book is THE BOOK to read for anyone who is wanting to develop their own psychic abilities or for anyone even slightly curious about what psychic abilities are and how to develop them. Even skeptics should at least find this book an interesting read initially. Although may become enlightened on the topic upon completion of this book. Well done!

Required Reading for Modern Times

The content of this book should be taught in schools. I can't believe we haven't heard of all the scientific proof of psychic powers sooner.

What If?

I enjoyed learning that there are things in science, that only go so far, imagine.

It's just a collection of his unpublished stuff

... And it's not very compelling. If you are looking to be convinced in the existence of ESP etc. This will not convince you. It's really for people who already believe...
He says things like (I'm paraphrasing from memory) "and for those would-be debunkers, I'm sure you'll agree that in the following case summaries, there is absolutely nothing for you to dispute, for the miraculous facts speak for themselves and leave no room for questioning."

Um... Yeah, that's actually never, ever true. That's just "conviction-speak." It's like when people say "well? What else could it possibly be??"

To those folks, I have said several times, "GOOD QUESTION! WHY DON'T YOU TRY AND ANSWER IT... HINT.. IT COULD BE ABOUT A MILLION OR SO OTHER THINGS THAT YOU HAVE NO CLUE ABOUT BECAUSE YOU'RE BLINDED BY YOUR OWN IGNORANCE."

Last: dean radin. Jesus that guy's so far gone its not even funny. I'm so sorry to say.. his comments (and shameless plugs for his books) are in the epilogue. What a dweeb.

I respect the life and works of Ingo Swann.
I agree we're on the brink of a scientific awakening to the reality and revolutionary ramifications of academic acceptance of ESP as real.

I don't believe this cobbled together and sometimes incomplete (pages missing) writing is anything more than intentionally unpublished Journaling of thoughts and ideas for a book some day. To publish it as if it was a book Mr. Swann wished anyone to ever see?

That's incredibly dishonest, misleading, and for God's sakes.. If the publisher actually makes any money off of this, good for them. Idiots need money just like the rest of us.

One of my favorites

If you only had a couple books on psychic stuff add this to the collection. It is a good proof of it. Maybe not exactly how to do it. But a unique look at it for sure.

An extraordinary book.

Possibly the best book available on the subject. I thought I knew a lot about psychic powers. This book awakened me to the long, complex history of psychic abilities and showed how they are a part of everyday life and always have been. Ingo Swann is known as a great psychic but he shows he also has a fine scientific mind. He understands where we have been and where we need to go to grasp this fascinating aspect of humanity.
