Hi, I'm Alexis Delaney. I'm your average 17-year-old girl. Except I can see the dead. And talk to the dead. And push them away and, well, help them move on. For years I've been struggling to survive the souls still roaming around. The shitheads always seem to find me. Moving from town to town every few months never helped either. More dead just always find me. But things are changing for me now. I'm moving in with my uncle Rory and cousin Tara. I'm finally going to be able to do normal teenage stuff I've been missing out on. Right?

I'm not so different from most people. Like everyone else, I have life goals. Goal #1: Become a real girl instead of this invisible ghost thing I currently am. Goal #2: Convince the four men I've been haunting for the past five years to pick me to be their new toy after goal one is complete. Goal #3: Figure out who/what I am and why I can't remember anything past the five years I've been haunting this quad. Goal #4: Eat popcorn. See? Perfectly normal. Sort of. Gotta start small, after all. It's not like anyone else is perfect either.

When my mother decided to pull me out of school, I didn’t say anything. When she homeschooled me, isolated me, kept me fearful of my peers, I followed along. When she packed me up and sent me across the country to live with my grandmother in the one-stoplight town of Lee Vines, I did as she said. But now that she’s left me here I’m on my own. In fifth grade my teacher set us up with pen pals from a different school. Thinking I was a girl, with a name like Misha, the other teacher paired me up with her student Ryen. My teacher, believing Ryen was a boy like me, agreed. It didn't take long for us to figure out the mistake. And in no time at all, we were arguing about everything. The best take-out pizza. Android vs. iPhone. Whether or not Eminem is the greatest rapper ever. For the next seven years, it was us. She's the only one who keeps me on track, talks me down, and accepts everything I am.

Publisher's Summary
From USA TODAY Bestselling Author, C. L. Stone, read Push and Shove, the sixth book in The Academy Ghost Bird Series.
Sang Sorenson struggles with her growing feelings when the Academy boys take her in and draw her closer into their world. They work together to uncover the true secrets happening at Ashley Waters High School, where Principal Hendricks will stop at nothing to take them all down.
Adding to their complications, Nathan's father shows up, and he's just as ruthless and violent as ever, beating up on Nathan. Sang offers Nathan refuge in her home, but Marie is fed up with the boys. She wants them out - all of them - and wants them to take Sang with them. Where will Sang go? What will happen to Nathan? And what about Mr. Hendrick's spies, watching all of them?
Kota, Victor, Silas, Nathan, Gabriel, Luke and North will have to focus to get out of this mess, but with Sang assisting them, they're struggling to keep control. They all promised not to make a move on Sang unless she initiates, but the tension is driving them all to distraction. With the help of Dr. Green and Mr. Blackbourne, they will have to stay strong and engaged. But A first kiss is imminent, and will cost them all more than they could ever have imagined.

So Enjoyable
Nailed it again!
Natalie Eaton did an amazing job at making each character's voice differentiate. She did an fantastic job with the boys voices. Quite impressive.
C.L. Stone never fails at providing flawless writing that will keep you at the edge of your seat craving more and more. The individual relationships that Sang has with each of the boys is so unique. Her tenderness is so sweet. I cannot wait to begin the next book!

Honeymoon's over.
I'm a huge RH fan, not so much with the Y/A stuff. Still, the multi-layered plot lines and nicely fleshed out characters are a rare find. The writer obviously loves these characters, and brings them to life with a clear adoration for them.
But...sigh...it can't be great forever. The real world high school environment allows for only so much plot development.
I should mention that I've only listened to about half of this book. It's a DNF. So I can't speak to what happens after somewhere around the house party.
My biggest eye roll is with the whole kiss thing. But at this point, they're STILL doing the "you gotta kiss me first" shuffle. She's still freaking out and oh-so-surprised when one of the guys brushes against her or kisses her forehead. I mean, c'mon. Really??? It's just too tired and mundane this far into the story to be this naive, childish, and illogical. How many more times is she going to tuck in her lip with her fingers? Or alternate between having third year resident-level phych analyses and blushing and stumbling over her words?
And why don't the book covers match the character descriptions??
It's because of those reasons that I'm gonna just stick with the first six books I've read. It's a good story, truly. But the whole should I/shouldn't I thing is no longer slow burn romance. It's more like a rubber band that stretches further across the books to make me reach for the next one.
I don't have the money for a 12-book molasses-slow burn slot machine.
DNF.

So much pain and drama
Poor Sang! She had to go through so much in this book. But she is getting closer with all the boys and slowly feeling a little more like she might actually belong in their group. But her life is complicated with them and her sister and the craziness at school. It’s a lot for a normal 16 year old, let alone s socially repressed and naive girl like Sang. The “A Report” at the end was quite telling... The next book should be awesome!

THE FIRST KISS!!!
The first kiss! This book, compared to the others has a lot more intensity than the others. I loved reading this book and have definitely enjoyed the whole series so far? Like before, the characters really bring a reaction out of the reader. You will be amazed by Sang's first kiss and who initiates it but it is really sweet and makes you wish for that kind of first kiss too. The relationship between Sang and Mr Blackburn gradually gets better and so much more humanity is shown from him, especially once Dr Green puts it plainly for him to see (once you read it you will know what I mean). I would definitely recommend this book to most people, as long as you have read the books before. Again, I have always loved the loyalty in this book with the boys and the different life they live compared to most other people, and how Sang so easily slides into their lives and feels like she belongs, even if it is just a little bit. Again, I loved almost everything about this book and would definitely recommend this to most people who even slightly like reading (and of course, those who love it!)! I love this book!!!
