Need the physical book in addition to Audible

This is a great book! That said, one needs to have the physical book. You can't learn how to program in Python by simply listening. At least, I can't. So, I bought the book & now I have both. I use the physical book for learning and listen for review. Works great! At least, for me it does. The only complaint I have about the narrative in Audible is the reading of the program lines. Since I don't have a fix handy or even a suggestion of how to improve the situation, I just deal with it. If it gets to be too much, I can just push the jump ahead button for a 30 second advance. My $0.02

Realistic advice provides in this book

The author uses good techniques to introduce commands and proposes exercises to reinforce learning those commands. I recommend it to anyone interested in Python. After listened twice, the programming looked so easy that's why I'm encouraged to learn more and more.

Man Reads Code

Man reads lots of code. Really hard to listen to. Need to get the book. I have heard this narrator on other books and he is really good but for me having him read dozens of characters and symbol names was kind of ridiculous. I realized how much I need visual media to learn this subject. I was hoping it would just going to go over the concepts and not have to be on a keyboard listening to every character that was announced. I was listening to this in my garage and started laughing after he read about fifty characters of code without a breath.

Anyone who gets this better pay full attention and type out whatever the narrator is saying. Much easier with visual media.

This says 2 books in 1

The title clearly says 2 books in 1 and there isn't 2 books. Seems like a scam to me.

Code reading was annoying

Were I doing the audio for this book, would have included suplementary material and instead of reading the material in the lines of code, I would have referenced the table or figure numbers in the reference material and instead described the code rather than reading it. tell us how syntax works instead of reading us what the exact syntax is in this particular case. it was just very difficult to listen to. The performance was fine and the material itself was good, but the experience of listening to lines if code being read object by object and/or having to hear every character used including "space" which has to be the most abundant word in this audio made the experience difficult to sit through at best and impossible at worst.

painful code reading

Code should not be read. I can't listen to this since the code drags on forever speaking most characters.

Coding and audio books is not a good mix

Typing code after a narrative is hard, confusing and incredibly annoying. They are probably good books and worth it if you can handle narration of code.
