It’s amazing

It’s amazing how much you can do even in a typical suburban backyard! I have to wonder how many of the estimates were just pulled out of the air or based only on personal experience, but at least there’s something here to get you started, much more than I’ve seen in any other book.

Happy Listening

This book encourages planning by offering several action plans, lists and charts. It encourages keeping track of expenses, assessing how useful each individual goal is for your individual homestead. It encourages research into your goals before jumping in, assessing how much time and expense is involved in each endeavor, and realism.

Overall ... a nice beginning book and "reference" manual. An easy read and easy to refer back to.

Good overview

Overall this book provides a good overview of various homestead endeavors and offers enough info to determine if more research into each particular prospect is something you want to do. It offers good planning advice as to how to calculate how much you must spend to start new projects

Very interesting

I have no dislikes. Very interesting. It has everything you need to know about gardening and tells you in details. There are many other things that tells you how to have chickens, etc. I probably be reading more more about the book .

Well informative

While informative and interesting, the book lacks a few key things we, as beginners, might need like how-tos on making pens and dwellings for said bees or chickens.

Good writing style

Good writing style, to me. Easy to follow. Would be easy to understand for beginners. Pretty much tells you how to accomplish a homestead from point A to point Z, from set up, to daily chores, and how to keep it going.

Dion Rosser does an amazing job

Dion Rosser does an amazing job being the most practical with initial and long-term costs, so depending on your earnings, it may be something that takes longer than you planned but don’t let that deter you. Again, a great guide for beginners to start their homesteads. It’s even got knowledge for the veteran homesteaders. Worth checking out.

It’s a very easy and helpful book

This is accurate, but we are doing grazing hogs and are involved in more knowledge along that line. I give it 5 stars because if you are looking for small-scale, traditional, and beginner knowledge, it's a great book.

GREAT

Overall, this book was really interesting, not too complicated for someone who is new to Raising Ducks. I would definitely recommend it to someone who is interested in Raising Ducks, and doesn't know how to go deeper in this field.

Great for even the casual astrologer!

I've been working to get my homestead up and going for five years so I know a bit now, but I can also say that this book is unique. You'll need to look up specifics for your climate but this book includes all the support in a general way to get you thinking about the right things and set you up for achievement in growing your food.
