Loved the narration

Lets start with what I liked. I really liked Harlow aka Princess. She was super bad ass. Usually when I read the blurbs for MC books the heroine is not in the life and she's kind of mousy. Harlow grew up in the MC since her grandpa was once the president and her dad is now VP. She would do anything for the club even though she will never have a place there. At the beginning of the book Harlow just comes home from a 2 year stint in jail. When she gets out of jail she notices a lot of changes in the club, mostly with new members and one of them happens to be Cruz. As soon as he spots her, he wants her for her own but Harlow refuses to become an old lady and has never dealt with brothers but Cruz is determined to change her mind. Harlow is probably one of the strongest heroines I have ever read in a romance. She is not afraid to get her hands dirty, she will beat anyone down, she totes guns and isn't afraid to use one.

Now to what I didn't like. Cruz just stated early on in the book that Harlow was his and marked his territory. I just don't really like the dynamic of the MC as depicted in this book. It's most likely how it really is but I just don't like a culture where women do as their told no questions asked. That just kind of rubbed me the wrong way. And I'm not sure if I really liked Cruz as a person. I did like him for Harlow but he is no way in the running for book boyfriend of the year. Harlow and Cruz were really perfect for each other. Harlow was a wild girl and Cruz was probably the only man who could tame her. Harlow goes through so much drama in this book, but I liked it because it brought that little extra to the story where it wasn't so centered on the romance but it showed the type of people Harlow and Cruz were. So there is my rating of 3 stars because while there were some things I didn't like in this book, the actually story I thought was really good.

I really liked the narration for this book. I have listened to narration by Tatiana before but this was my first book with Joe. I really loved them for this story. I thought Tatiana wouldn't work for me because the other books I listened to her narrated were not as rough but she did a really good job as Harlow. Joe was perfect for Cruz. I look forward to listening to more from him. Narration gets 4 stars.

Love A Good MC, This One Not So Much!

Honestly, I tried to like this book, but gave up at around 52%. I just didn't see this story getting any better.

Some Spoilers:
I didn't really care for the heroine. She was suppose to be this bada** character one moment but the next she would let the hero walk all over her. I get the author was probably trying to portray the hero as this sexy take charge alpha, which might have worked if the heroine wasn't suppose to be this kick butt biker chic. One scene, the heroine and a few other MC members shoot at a rival MC gang who have come to her strip club shooting the place up, she practically rips a man's junk off, but a few moments later she's on the phone with the hero and he tells her to go back to the club and lock herself in his room, which she does. WTH! Now if she was really bada** she would've told him where to stick it.

The other thing I really didn't care for evolved around the kid. The hero feels the need to have full custody of his child, and it is implied his ex-girlfriend is a abusing the little boy. The only evidence presented to the listener is the child acting skittish around the mom and some pictures of some bruises. The listener has to assume a lot has happened to the child while in his mom's care, but the listener gets to hear about drive by shootings at the club where the he lives with the H/h, and getting upset after seeing the heroine fighting her brother in a ring and bleeding. Their violent living conditions was no place for a child, and neither parent was worthy of full custody.

I could see how this story may appeal to diehard MC fans, but sadly I just didn't care for the characters and gave up.

not good

I'm usually a fan of MC romance but not this one. I found the disrespectful nature of the club toward women something I couldn't respect. I also found the heroine to be a total oxymoron because although she is this touch bitch she is a-okay with being treated like a second class citizen because she is a woman. Princess, yes this is her rediculous name, is weak her relationship with Cruz and the sex scenes are too repetitive. I wouldn't waste my time on this one.

Quick, insta goodness

This was such a great MC book. A badass chick, an MC hottie who claimed her immediately after she was released from prison... and to boot, he's a good dad? It was a recipe for success. Add in the excitement and thrill surrounding a 1% club, I loved it.

Joe Arden and Tatiana Sokolov are a couple of reliable narrators. I thoroughly enjoy everything they narrate. Tatiana played a tough chick with ease and Joe's voice is rough enough to pull off the sexiest, most badass biker.

Couldn't put it down !!!

This was a GREAT listen !! The narrators were excellent and really brought the story to life! It was written with all the things you look for in a motorcycle club book... It is not for the weak or mild . It has a lot of edge of your seat situations with some tenderness mixed within. Princess, Cruz and Cooper stole my heart! If you are looking for a MC book with suspense, romance , hot scenes, a little crude and some violence with cringe factor - then this is the book for you!!

a different twist on the woman she is a tough as nails balls to the wall badass. I love this new series can't wait for the next book.

I like the story

I liked the story line not one I would listen to again. I really did not like Arden trying to do female voices. And the same with Sokolov she can not do male voices. This book would really be a hit if it was read more for entertaining male reading male lines and female reading female lines. I have found a few books that have been read like that and it was really enjoyable. Wish alll books would go to that format.

Great MC Romance

This was my first book by this author and I loved it. The heroine is strong and takes charge!
Narrators did amazing. Definitely enjoyed!
