Very Recommended

This was very spot on for a first time home buyer to know the does and don't about buying. The information helped me a lot with facts an knowledge I didn't know before. The audio voice was a little old school style for me, but still informative.

good information very bad narration

I think this was a very informative book but the narration was very annoying for me.
The narrator single handedly ruin the whole book with a theatrical narration of a serious subject.
I was struggling through out the book to remind my self that this is not the Harry potter or the Lord of ring book.

This needs to be taught in grade school !

As someone who is literally in the process of closing on my first home after two years of searching, I can say this book is essential for buyers. There are so many loans to choose from, and expenses that come up that no one warns you about prior to deciding to buy, this book covers all of it. The tips and information in this book are invaluable, and such a great listen. It will make the process so much easier to know all of this information in advance.

Downpayment

Loved the strategies teaching how to come up with the monthly mortgage payments, vs house worth and cashflow. So many ideas to use leverage to buy investment properties. Also liked the ideas to pay off some debts before getting into more debt.

Yes! So helpful!

This is perfect for first time home buyers. It tells you everything you need to know and guides you through the entire process, starting from financial preparations all the way to closing your deal and signing contracts. Even better, it also tells you what to do AFTER you’re already a homeowner! This is just perfect and I would recommend it for anyone interested in buying a home. Now interested in hearing/reading more of Lou Vachon’s work.

Binge reading Lou’s books

I’ve been really enjoying Lou’s books! I’ve been trying to get into real estate, but I don’t have money to start with. This book breaks it down how to get started with home ownership, particularly how to save in order to invest.
